Position Description:This work would be in collaboration with the Project Manager to develop a short/mid and long-term agricultural plan to produce agricultural products for the Guatemalan market. This would include the consideration of value added products suitable for the local tourist market.

Position Description:Looking for a passionate and proactive technology intern to help set up a computer lab in the local school. As the IT specialist, and part of the Project Somos team, successful applicants must have patience to work with students and faculty that have a limited understanding of modern technology. The successful candidate will be able to provide technical support for user requests, and is responsible for the setup, installation and configuration of hardware and software.
Skills Required:
Experience with computers and networking systems
Ability to configure, customize, and program
Experience in web development, maintenance of modern HTML/CSS is an asset
Familiarity with computer operating systems and database technology (design, software and structure) is essential
Self starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to collaborate closely with others
Fluency in Spanish required

General or Pediatric Dentists can help children out of pain through fillings and basic extractions. KCDC also needs Dental Hygienists to help with cleanings, sealants, and deep scaling on teens. Camp Erin is a free weekend camp for children and teens ages 6 - 17 who have experienced the death of a family member or friend It is a fun, traditional, high energy camp combined with grief related activities and support. Camp Erin Denver 2016 will be held the weekend of August 17 - 19 at Camp Granite Lake located in Coal Creek Canyon. Camp Erin provides an opportunity for campers to explore their grief in a safe, supportive environment and to help them know that they are not alone.Volunteers serve in capacity of cabin buddies - where they stay with an age and gender specific group of campers throughout the weekend providing emotional support and facilitating small group discussions. Activity volunteers help campers with art and movement based activities that help campers talk about their grief (volunteers do not need to have art experience to apply). A full day training is provided prior to camp.

Volunteers work with other team members to build concrete-block homes for families who depend on the Guatemala City Garbage Dump for their livelihoods and live in the community that surrounds the dump. In addition to construction, volunteers may opt to engage in relational activities with children, including craft camp, soccer camp or baseball camp (when offered). The 26th Annual Literary Lions Gala is just around the corner, and the KCLS Foundation is looking to recruit 80 volunteers to help execute this exciting event. The Literary Lions Gala is the main fundraising event benefitting the King County Library System. Funds raised ta the event fund library programs at all 49 KCLS Libraries.The Literary Lions Gala will be held on Saturday, March 16 at the Bellevue Hyatt Regency’s Grand Ballroom. Keynote Speaker is the Pulitzer Prize-winning Jennifer Egan. This event requires a team of 80 dedicated volunteers, responsible for crucial tasks including registration, book sales, author support, and more.
Volunteer Info and Requirements
• All volunteers must be at the Bellevue Hyatt by 3 PM on Saturday, March 16 and stay until the completion of event wrap-up at approximately 10 PM. Time Commitment: 3pm to 10pm
• Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age and should be comfortable engaging with the public.
• Volunteers must be dressed in semi-formal dark attire, such as a suit or a dress.
• Volunteers will attend an orientation and be provided with refreshments and dinner during the event.
• Some volunteer roles may require additional training prior to the event.
