Birdsong farm is looking for eager, energetic and reliable interns! This opportunity will have two parts, one part from 8:00AM to 12:00PM at 12:00PM you would break for lunch and after, the other part would be from 1:00PM to 5:00PM. You may choose to do one half of the opportunity or both! The morning opportunity consists of feeding our horses at 8:00AM, leading them outside to their paddocks after they're finished to allow them to enjoy the fresh air while you assisted in mucking stalls. After stalls are done and the halls are swept you would break for lunch at 12:00PM. The second half of the opportunity begins at 1:00PM where you would make sure the tack room is neatly arranged, all feed buckets from the morning are washed and neatly stacked. At 3:00PM you would bring the horses in from outside if needed for that day and you would provide them their dinner while the paddocks were cleaned.Available Shifts

When a child is given a diagnosis of cancer, the family goes into immediate crisis mode. Time has began ticking against a disease that will rapidly take over a child's body so the battle for survival begins at the moment of diagnosis. The most important decision a family can make is which hospital will provide their child the best chance at surviving this disease by that hospitals treatment strategy. This decision can be costly both financially and emotionally. The treatment plan is crucial to helping improve a child's chance at survival and cancer research varies from hospital to hospital. Many families are forced to make the choice of affordability based upon not being able to afford to travel for treatment so they go to the hospital that is in closest proximity. Along Comes Hope impacts families in removing the decision of affordability versus survivability. No child should have to be given a lesser chance at survival based upon their geography.
Your support allows a family to afford to go to the location that gives them the best fighting chance!
***YOUR Volunteers and Corporate Sponsorship Team can work together to raise funds for a family or children hospitalized in your local area. If you would like your Team to focus on a few families in your area to provide support to, contact us at:

Hearts & Horses could not operate without dedicated volunteers – they are our backbone and primary source of support. Without the extra set of hands to help riders sit tall, the communication between horse and leader, the constant care of our horses and their home, and the partnerships in our community, it would be nearly impossible to serve our riders! Are you interested in learning more about Hearts and Horses? Our volunteer orientation is an exciting opportunity to get familiar with our programs and our volunteer opportunities!

Every year we help young people in the area enjoy new adventures; to experience the outdoors; interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.Working alongside our youth members are adult volunteers, with a huge variety of roles and opportunities available.
Scout Leaders help young people in the 5 to 14 age range reach their full potential. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.
This everyday adventure is possible thanks to our adult volunteers. We help volunteers get the most out of their experiences at Scouts by providing opportunities for adventure, training, fun and friendship.
Our award-winning training scheme for volunteers means that adults get as much from Scouts as young people. Our approach focuses on what you want to get out of volunteering with Scouts, while respecting how much time you can offer. Over 90% of Scout volunteers say that their skills and experiences have been useful in their work or personal life.
We operate flexible volunteering so whether it is one hour a month or 2 hours a week, we actively welcome your support.
