Work the "chuck-a-puck" booth at a Mavs game! Peace Partnership is completely funded by donations from our community. We partner with the Kansas City Mavericks to raise money for Peace Partnership by working the "chuck-a-puck" booth at the Mavericks game. It is a lot of fun and helps bring awareness and funds to families who can't afford quality counseling services.Volunteers will help sell pucks until the end of the second period, then you are free to watch the rest of the hockey game. All volunteers will receive a free Peace Partnership t-shirt. This is a fun night that helps provide quality, affordable counseling to low-income families and free counseling to students in the Independence and Blue Springs school districts. Visit peacecounseling.org/events for more details.

Annunciation Maternity Home regularly receives in-kind donations of new or used baby clothes. We are not able to distribute items as quickly as they are received, so we place the surplus in our warehouse. We are sponsoring a volunteer engagement event to ask for assistance with sorting items by the gender and age of baby to make distribution of items quicker and easier. We will work in a casual, non-air-conditioned warehouse, so please dress for a warm, garage-like environment. We appreciate your assistance with helping us serve young single mothers!Available Shifts

The Alabama Baptist Children's Homes & Family ministries provides care for children in foster care. Our office is located off of Friendship Road and is the first thing that many community partners and supporters see when they drop off donations, come for counseling, make a placement of a child. Our office is in desperate need of power washing and landscaping. We want to show that we are good stewards of our funds and appearance is important. By assisting us with these things, the community will see that we are taking care of the building that they have provided us with and that we can focus our time and resources to serving more children and families that are in crisis mode.Available Shifts
