Each year, Life House honors those homeless and street youth that have met significant milestones. Whether it be finishing high school, staying sober, or making strides in their mental health, more than 250 Duluth community members gather to recognize their accomplishments. We also use this opportunity to raise money for our yearly operations, including our downtown drop-in Youth Center, our housing program, our mental health and wellness program, and our education and employment programs.

Miles for Smiles to Support The Painted Turtle

Join us for our 8th annual Tour de Turtle! Enjoy cycling on our new courses through the Angeles National Forest and by the Antelope Valley Poppy Fields! You have the choice of our Sport 20 mile, Elite 36 mile or Pro 72 mile courses. We also have our 3rd annual Turtle Trek! Families and kids can come out to play games and have fun participating in fun stations like Silly Hair!

Registration for either event is $25 and the fundraising minimum is $250. Come out and volunteer for free!! Those who fundraise $1000 or more will be provided overnight accommodations at Camp.

Your support will help The Painted Turtle provide year-round programs and support for children with serious illnesses and their family members. As you make your journey along one of the fully-supported routes, you will create unforgettable memories and conquer challenges with friends - just like the campers we serve. You will also receive lunch, an event t-shirt and medal to commemorate your experience!

At The Painted Turtle, children with serious medical conditions can forget about their illnesses and just be kids. Since opening our gates in 2004, more than 59,000 children and family members have found adventure, friendship, support, and courage through both our on-site programs as well as our hospital outreach programs.

No child or family ever pays to attend The Painted Turtle - thanks to supporters like you. Visit www.thepaintedturtle.org to learn more.

The Big Birthday Round-Up benefiting Azleway is on the calendar for March 28, 2019! The Round-Up will be held at the Azleway Ranch and features a great meal, live and silent auctions, and a few surprises. It’s a fun event for a great cause!

We're planning on a carnival theme this year and looking for volunteers to help our committee man the games, serve dinner, and close out silent auction at the end of the event. None of the duties are hard in the slightest, but many hands make light work and your participation will make the event much more successful!

The Round-Up is one of the ways Azleway fills the gap between state funding and the actual cost of treating foster children in our care, which means the funds we raise at these events directly impacts children for generations to come. Your help will make a real difference in the life of a child.
