A local Eagle Scout is interested in leading a volunteer activity for our foster youth organization. Foster Family Thanksgiving is an opportunity for togetherness between foster families and social worker staff. Our hope is for 5 Kohl's employee's to prepare a potluck dinner and serve our families for this 3 hour event. Following dinner, there will be time for games and Thanksgiving color pages for our kids in care. The idea of Togetherness is important, especially during the holidays when it is the hardest for our youth to be a part from their biological families.

CityMusic Cleveland’s continued success comes in large part from members in the community who volunteer to help. In the neighborhoods where we perform, as well as in the surrounding communities, we need volunteers to distribute our postcards and posters to libraries, coffee shops, retirement villages, senior centers, high school music departments, local music schools, and stores. Volunteer ushers assist ant concerts, and volunteers can help organize post-concert receptions. People with computer skills, graphic skills, or who can assist with marketing and public relations are always in demand. If you are interested in volunteering your time, educating the community, and enjoying the performing arts, call CityMusic Cleveland at (216) 632-5792 or contact us at info@citymusiccleveland.org.

Harper Church partners with national Prison Fellowship each Christmas, whereby we purchase and deliver Christmas gifts to children who have a parent in prison, on behalf of that incarcerated parent. The imprisoned parent picks the type of gift and writes a message to their child(ren) so the kids know that parent is thinking of them. Join us to decorate the tree with gift tags and pack a gift bag for each family we are serving.

Our Toy Drive & Shopping Experience is more than just a “give away”, we go out of our way to involve the community in every aspect of the event including the collection of the toys, marketing/getting the word out, volunteers the day of the event.

As with most toy drives, we solicit toys and monetary donations for toys. However, we conclude our drive each year with a Shopping Experience. We transform a space into a shopping center for the communities in with they are provided with vouchers to “shop” for toys and gifts for their children as well as have them gift wrapped by our volunteers right away.

We will need 100 volunteers for the toy drive for many positions:
- Shopping Department Elves - Setup tables with toys and aid families during shopping
- Personal Shopping Elves - Help parents find their tables and select toys
- Registration Elves - Guide parents through a quick and easy registration process
- Santa's Security - Check bags and say goodbye to our guests
- Setup Elves - Help Setup the Shopping Experience

Our Sensitive Santa event will be held at Onslow Memorial Hospital. This event is important for the community because it allows families with children with special needs to enjoy visiting with Santa at their own pace, get portraits with him, get a family portrait, and also enjoy refreshments and a toy after they are finished. This event allows families to enjoy activities that are normally hard for them due to their child's sensitivities to sound, light, volumes of noise etc.
