The Laughlin Children's Center has created a donor group titled the Laughlin Children's Champions Club to increase individual giving. This group encourages individuals to contribute a minimum of $100 annually to support Laughlin Children's Center:• Greatest Need
• Uncompensated Care Fund
Over the years, Laughlin Children's Center has relied heavily on the support of foundations and corporations. However, only 20% of all giving comes from those sources. Instead, 80% of all giving comes from individuals, and to guarantee Laughlin Children's Center's financial future, we must increase individual giving. (Please note businesses are welcome to join).
The Laughlin Children's Champions Club gives people an idea of how to help. In addition to helping with current needs, Laughlin Children's Champions Club members are ideal candidates to cultivate and educate for a planned gift. All Laughlin Children's Champions Club members receive the following benefits:
• Satisfaction in knowing their gift helps children obtain the skills they need for success.
• VIP Invitations to Laughlin Children’s Center Events.
• Membership Recognition Certificate.
• Listing on our Donor Wall at Laughlin Children's Center.
The Laughlin Children's Champions Club's fiscal year 2024-25 objective is to raise a minimum of $325,000.
Responsibilities of the Laughlin Children's Champions Club Chair:
1. Using your centers of influence, work with the development director to achieve a minimum annual goal of $325,000.
2. Make a personal gift by joining the Laughlin Children's Champions Club.
3. Review current donors and prospects to prioritize and solicit.
4. Identify new individuals who may be able to join the Laughlin Children's Champions Club.
4. Recruit a volunteer committee of five to ten individuals to expand Laughlin Children's Champions Club membership.
5. Attend annual recognition events.
6. Attend two 45-minute committee meetings via Zoom.
7. Sign solicitation letters.
The total time commitment for the year is 15 hours. Membership is for two years and renewable after review.
