Collect used (in good condition) PC laptops, sand toys, stacking blocks, Duplos, jump ropes, balls, children's clothes, shoes, books, etc. for us to take to the destitute children in Kenya.
Ask your friends and neighbors to set things aside and let us know when you need something picked up. We take things to Kenya each January and June. We hope you can come with us some time, but this project is a great way to participate at home and in your neighborhood and to feel a connection to Achungo and to involve others (your children or friends).

Our Annual Canvas of Change event is a fun, exciting evening of art, music, food & social justice. This event supports our Society’s Youth Art Engagement Project (YAEP), a free nine-week program we offer to high-risk youth.

The kids involved in this project are among the most at-risk, vulnerable, young people in our community. Our YAEP works with them to give them the information and tools they need to learn how to be safe from all forms of sexual exploitation. Using their creativity and knowledge of how sexual exploitation affects children and youth, they design their own piece of social justice art to express their understanding and raise awareness of this issue.

We are the only organization in BC providing free school-based prevention workshops and programs aimed at helping kids keep themselves and their friends safe from sexual exploitation.

The 2017 Canvas of Change event includes a live art competition by some of Vancouver's best artists followed by a live auction of their work. The evening also offers exquisite food, music, wine and other fundraising activities; all proceeds will support our Youth Art Engagement Project.

Volunteer opportunities include:
1) Entrance: Taking payments, welcoming guests and wayfinding
2) Photobooth: Taking pictures of guests and helping with props
3) Silent Auction: Assisting guests, tracking winners, taking payments
4) Bracelet Toss: Taking payments, handing bracelets to participants and tracking winners
5) Art Handlers: Carrying art to stage, taking payments and giving art to winners
