Support children in families experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness and bring them some holiday magic. Write and decorate holiday and new year cards to be included in orders of holiday toys for families experiencing housing instability. Cards will be distributed in the Greater Seattle Area. This opportunity can be in person, hybrid, or virtual.

Do you have retail clothing experience? Do you enjoy customer service environments? Do you like to interact with people of all demographics? or better yet, do you like seeing others clothed and fed in their most vulnerable times?If this sounds like something you would enjoy, we would love to have you volunteer in our free-to-all Clothing Bank. Clothing, shoes, personal hygiene items, and diapers are all distributed to guests through the clothing bank. This is one of the many free services we offer at Spokane Valley Partners. Weekly availability would be wonderful, but we welcome all the hands we can get! We have various shifts Tuesday- Friday 10 am-3 pm. Two, three, or five-hour shifts depending on your desired schedule. Mondays shifts the store is closed for restocking and diaper packaging.
Brief job description:
Sorting: Weigh, sort, hang, and restock donations in their proper location within the clothing bank.
Store: Greet and sign families in, weigh and sign out clothes for each family member. Simple computer /software skills are preferred.

Help to support our families at Mary’s Place by providing kits for us to hand out. Kit assembly and donation to Mary’s Place functions as both an in-kind donation of supplies and volunteer time. Please plan to coordinate drop off or shipping of supplies with Mary’s Place.This activity is repeatable, can be done remotely, and takes 60 minutes to complete. Funding requirements vary depending on the type of kit and the number of participants. Available as facilitated (virtually or in-person) or non-facilitated. At Good Shepherd Services, we understand that the cost of backpacks and school supplies can burden many children, youth, and families in New York City. As the new school year approaches, many families are facing the challenge of providing essential supplies for their children.Join us at our Back to School Bash and Bookbag Giveaway on Saturday 9th at JHS 292. Together we can lighten their load and ensure every student has a fresh start.
Last year, thanks to the generosity of our partners and supporters, we were able to provide backpacks and supplies to 200 youth in Good Shepherds program and community members. This year, the need has increased, and we’re counting on your support to ensure that every student has the tools they need to succeed in their education.
Our goal this year is to supply 380 students with brand-new backpacks filled with school supplies. And we need your help to make it happen!
By volunteering at our Back To School Bash, you’ll be giving children who attend the opportunity to focus on their studies and feel confident as they embark on the new school year.

Our coat giveaway goal is to give away at least 1000 coats, 1000 hats, 1000 gloves and 1000 socks and we need volunteers to be successful. This event will be hosted in St. Louis, MO and volunteers must be 18 years of age. If a volunteer is under the age of 18 they must have a parent permission slip completed. We also have positions such as: Setup and breakdown team; Greeters, Registration, Shopping assistants (to assist parents with locating items) Assisting with cotton candy machine and popcorn machine, as well as beverage table. All volunteers are asked to dress in holiday colors and where a big smile. Volunteers are very important because they are the faces that the families will see and families will remember their experience at this event. Volunteers must be friendly, enjoy being around children and able to work with the public and follow instructions. Orientation will be held and volunteers must attend.
