The Golf Tournament of Hope has been an event of Lily's Hope Foundation since 2014 and was our first major fundraiser to help raise money for preemies and their families. This event is open to the community and encourages golfers of all skill levels to come out for a fun-filled day of golf to support Lily's Hope Foundation. The Tournament of Hope is held each year at Wedgewood Golf Course in Coopersburg at 8am. Breakfast, Snacks, and lunch are provided along with many prizes and giveaways for all participants. This event is one of our three major special event fundraisers throughout the year. We need help with registration, food set up, and event set up.Available Shifts

Help Onward Hope staff facilitate the Transformations Center Summer Camp! This program is for high schoolers experiencing foster care. We need volunteers to help staff supervise and engage with the teens and facilitate the camp program all summer. Our camp runs Monday through Friday from 9-5 through the end of July, and volunteers can sign up to serve in two hour shifts that work for their schedule.Onward Hope is a youth-focused, community-based non-profit and foster care and adoption agency, and we are the only alumni-founded and run organization in the state. Our mission is empowering and connecting youth and families today for a strong future tomorrow, and our vision is to enable at-risk youth to realize their full potential while becoming the leading transition, preservation, and permanency services corporation in Arizona.
The Transformations Center is a community center for young people aged 14 - 29 that have experienced foster care, juvenile justice, or other systems. The Center acts as a fun, safe, and effective space for youth to learn & gain life skills, make meaningful connections with peers, and achieve their greatest potential. With the help of community leaders, partners, and volunteers, the Center provides a wide variety of numerous opportunities that will change hundreds of lives for years to come.

Provide lovingly created handmade pieces of comfort and support to veterans, deployed service members and their families. No matter if you are an expert seamstress or a casual hobbyist, there is an opportunity to meet the needs of our troops on the Sewing and Crafting Team. Many Sewing and Crafting Team Angels (volunteers) rely on their personal talents and skill sets to knit, sew, crochet and quilt their gifts of support. For those less experienced, no-sew blankets provide an opportunity to become more involved. These handmade items are then distributed within the military community to active-duty service members, expectant military families and in VA hospitals around the country.

In taking part in this event, you help TWR provide these often-forgotten youth with essential clothing to empower them during this vulnerable time in their lives. Excitingly, you will also be helping us prepare for the launch of the Rise clothing store! Rise will provide local teenagers in foster care with basic essentials to promote confidence and body positivity.
