Please help us put together items for our NICU care packages. Project Sweet Peas provides care packages to families who have an infant in the neonatal intensive care unit. The materials and care packages support the family's well-being and promote bonding between parent and child.

This is an on-going need for volunteers. Office hours are generally 9am-7pm on Mondays; and 9am-3pm Tuesday-Friday. Some weekends and nights may be available as well. Please email me to set up a date and time. Corin@projectsweetpeas.com

The House of the Good Shepherd is celebrating 150 years of service to our communities. This years Premier Golf Tournament will be bigger and better than ever. Funds raised will help support the 900 children and their families that we currently serve across 5 different counties.

Opportunity Details

Volunteers from the community spend a few hours on a Saturday to do several projects at the GRO campus. This will expand to include our other two campuses in the years to follow. Projects include yard work, clearing brush, cleaning flower beds, finishing out an outdoor shed, painting, washing windows, deep cleaning the interior.

​Since 2011, the Fiesta Especial Inclusion 5K & Parade team has worked to ensure that there’s a Fiesta experience that’s inclusive of people with all types of abilities. INCLUSION is involvement and empowerment, where the inherent worth and dignity of all people are recognized. An inclusive community promotes and sustains a sense of belonging; it values and practices respect for the talents, beliefs, backgrounds, and ways of living of its members.

The Fiesta Especial Inclusion 5K is an inclusive, family-friendly event taking place on Saturday, April 2nd,2022. Starting from The City of Windcrest's City Hall and winding through the neighborhoods, this race includes competitive divisions for Runners, Riders, Walkers, and Rollers alike. Spectators are invited to bring a chair or blanket, find a spot along the route and enjoy watching the parade go by... at no cost to the family. Free games and activities are available for parade spectators to enjoy in the parking lot of the Windcrest City Hall and food and beverages will be available for sale.
