An ambassador helps share the mission and work of Finally Family Homes. Additionally, because the foster care to homelessness issues is not widely recognized, ambassadors help to bring this struggle into public awareness.This can be accomplished by means of using social media to increase awareness and support for our cause. You can also share with friends and colleagues by word of mouth.
You can share your own personal experiences with foster or homeless youth, with our organization in particular, or even just why this issue touches your heart.

Ambassadors are essential to helping Finally Family Homes grow and achieve its mission to provide personalized empowering care to youth exiting foster care without a family

Millions of meals are distributed through our Partner Agencies and feeding programs thanks to our distribution center volunteers! At our facility in South East El Paso, serve by assembling food boxes, filling carts, processing donated food.We look forward to serving with you soon!

Help fill shopping carts with food and distribute them to community members.

COMMUNITY INVESTMENT COMMITTEEHelp determine how United Way dollars are invested. On an annual basis, United Way of Kenosha County provides funding to local programs that have proven their effectiveness. Through a process we call Community Investment, donor volunteers lead the review of funding requests, program outcomes, financial data and past performance. Most of the work takes place between February and June. Volunteers should be able to commit to monthly meetings of one or more hours, as well as site visits to local nonprofits.
Being a Community Investment Volunteer means:
Working together with other volunteers throughout our region
Sharing your skills and learning more about our community
Reviewing and scoring Partner Programs program applications submitted by Partner Agencies
Making important decisions on investing donated funds
Making a difference in our communities
As a Community Investment Volunteer, you will give approximately 20 hours of service to the community throughout the year.

A.I.R. Project which A.I.R. stands for Abuse Is Real is planning it's annual Soles for A.I.R. community outreach event, which provides a free new pair of shoes to underserved and at risk youth who are victims or have been exposed to some for of abuse and violence in recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness and Bullying Prevention Awareness month (October).The Event Coordinator Volunteers will assist in a variety of ways (primarily assisting the organization's founder with planning and coordinating the event) such as:
Assist with brainstorming for program outline
Gain knowledge on the flow of the program/event
Help identify and acquire necessities required for the event
Assist with phone calls and follow ups (if and when needed)
Pick up items for the event
Potentially prepare items for the event (to be determined)
Share event and needs on social media
The ideal persons must be a personable yet professional, thorough, creative, organize, purpose driven, open-minded, and have strong communication skills.
Please note, the event is scheduled for October 30th.
There will be meetings scheduled (virtual and/or in person) before hand to work on getting ready for the event. The first meeting will be scheduled the week of Sept 12th, time will be announced once we have our volunteer team together to see everyone's availability. Given the time sensitivity, volunteers for this opportunity must be ready to started ASAP which can be (not required) before the first meeting.
This is important as this allows us to be prepared to make this event successful and help us reach out goal of serving 150-200 students with a free new pair of shoes.

Horse Leaders and Side Walkers assist riders with their individual goals during unmounted and mounted work with the supervision and guidance of a PATH Intl. Certified therapeutic riding instructor. Together the rider, horse, instructor, and volunteers work as a team. Volunteer commitment is at a minimum 1 lesson per week for seven weeks. Side Walkers must be at least 14 years of age and Horse Leaders must be at least 16 years old.Available Shifts

Cradles to Crayons provides everyday essentials (clothing, hygiene items, school supplies, etc.) to children ages 0-12 across Massachusetts who are living in low-income and homeless situations. Virtual shopping is an all-virtual activity enabling volunteers to spend time either independently, or virtually together with or without Cradles to Crayons staff, to shop any online retailer for Cradles to Crayons' most needed items (most often clothing items) or to consider items they may already have at home to donate. Volunteers can select items from a common list or Cradles to Crayons can provide individual "shopping lists" designed around any particular price point. All donations can be shipped directly to Cradles to Crayons or dropped off at our Newtonville location.
