After Rhea Lana's Consignment sale in Lee's Summit is finished every year, Rhea puts together all the items being donated and lets the foster families come and shop for free for the things they need. What she needs from us is to set all the items up onto tables nicely in an organized fashion like a little store. So that the families can see what all is there. It is quick and very easy.

At St Kilda Mums, we accept donations of nursery equipment, clothing, toys, books & other items. We need your help cleaning, sorting & packing these items, ready for distribution to families in need. We pride ourselves on ensuring that every item is presented as a beautiful gift. There is always plenty to do so you are guaranteed a busy, fun & rewarding day.

Please note that for the health, wellbeing and safety of our community all volunteers must be fully vaccinated and this includes corporate volunteers.

Due to COVID19, civil unrest, exhausted natural resources, economic challenges, Haitian children lack the basic needs to live much less strive - such as clean water, nutritious food, basic clothes, and necessary school supplies. Together with ACHI, Kohl Associates can create high protein meals which can be easily prepared, packaged, shipped and distributed to numerous partners serving the Haitian children. Along with these nutritious meals, P & G water purification tablets will clean the dirtiest water so healthy meals can be prepared. Together we can stay and help Haitians care for their families and children!

Our CASA program belongs to a network of nearly 950 community-based programs that recruit, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courtrooms and communities.
Each volunteer is appointed by a judge to advocate for a child’s best interest in court.

Our thirteenth annual Princess For a Day event is right around the corner! On August 15th at the Valley River Inn, over 350 children will be treated to a magical day complete with a magical tea party, red carpet runway walk, and complete princess makeover. Children attending will be transformed into princesses--complete with hair, makeup, nails, and a princess outfit to take home and keep after the event.

Love working with children? Have a passion for videography? Is your special skill blowing up balloons? No matter where your interests or passions lie, we have dozens of volunteer positions that need to be filled---from working in the hair and makeup room, to helping with dresses, to preparing a feast made for royalty.

Neighborhood House Health Fairs provide free health services and resources to help families stay safe and drug free. They also offer healthy food, prizes, entertainment, and giveaways. Don’t miss this fun, wholesome, and family-friendly event!
We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly, can-do volunteers who enjoy the fluid nature of events and stepping in where needed. Enjoy a positive experience with a great team of Neighborhood House staff and other community supporters. Volunteers must be age 16+. Volunteers under age 18 must provide a completed parent/guardian consent form.

Bilingual volunteers are encouraged, particularly those who speak Somali, Spanish, or Vietnamese.

Volunteers must follow all applicable Neighborhood House safety protocols, including COVID protocols. COVID protocols may include but are not limited to, completing an online confidential health attestation, wearing a face covering, and/or social distancing. Neighborhood House adapts protocols to meet current local and state recommendations, including those from Washington State Labor and Industries. Volunteers will receive a copy of current volunteer protocols prior to your event.
