Songea's Kids is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization based in the Seattle, WA area. We provide nurturing homes, food, clothing, health care and education to orphans and vulnerable children in one of the poorest regions of southern Tanzania. We are seeking a volunteer with experience in developing and implementing multi-media communications strategies to share our stories, impact and needs with current donors and to attract new donors to our cause. This is a critical role in our organization that helps us to expand our reach so that we can build hope, transform lives, and break the cycle of poverty for orphans vulnerable children and their communities.

The Child Sponsor Coordinator is a critical role for our organization. The volunteer maintains files on all sponsored children, tracks updates from our Tanzanian NGO partner on each child's well-being and progress in school, communicates updates with the children's sponsors, and facilitates the building of relationships between sponsors and children. We currently have 152 sponsored children, and continue to add new kids who are in urgent need to our program. With the growing number of children, it would be ideal to have two volunteers for our child sponsor coordination.
