Focus on Youth is hosting our annual Child Welfare Conference March 13-14, 2020 in Sharonville, Ohio. This conference is held for parents, foster and adoptive caregivers, and professionals. A community who serves one of our communities most vulnerable groups, children in the child welfare system. We are in search of childcare volunteers for both days of the conference to help provide childcare for attendees. Volunteers would be asked to commit to at least a 4 hour shift i.e. 8:00am-12:00pm or 12:00pm-4:00pm. Multiple volunteers are needed for each day and shift. Children will be split into classrooms with activities, meals and snacks.Available Shifts

On March 7th, 2020 we are gathering at the McNamara Alumni Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota to celebrate the success and mission of St. David's Center. Your support in helping us reach our $475,000 fundraising goal results in a direct impact for more than 4,000 children and families throughout the Twin Cities. Proceeds from the Gala will fund critically needed services to the thousands of children, families and individuals who rely on St. David’s Center for inclusive early childhood education, early intervention, and support services.Available Shifts

very January, the Kings/Tulare Homeless Alliance hosts four simultaneous Project Homeless Connect (PHC) events in Hanford, Porterville, Tulare and Visalia. The event connects those who are homeless or near homeless with a wide variety of immediate, on-site services and support for unmet needs. Some of the services include: veterinary care, employment, medical, dental, eye care, family support services, child care, domestic violence, HIV testing, DMV IDs, legal, housing, veterans, lunches, behavioral health, substance abuse services, and much more.Available Shifts

Somebody Loves Me, Inc., a 501 (c)3 organization committed to helping those less fortunate in Northeast Tennessee. Our two largest programs focus on children living in poverty in our region. Our Clothing Our Children Program provides underprivileged school-age children with shoes, clothing and personal care items year-round and Our One Christmas Wish Angel Tree Program provides shoes, clothing and gifts for eligible children in need at Christmas. When children’s essential needs are not met, this can have a direct negative impact on their school success and our goal is to do our part in ensuring success for as many children in our region as possible.All of our members are unpaid volunteers and we rely on fundraisers and community donations to support our programs. Our Annual Auction Fundraiser is our largest fundraising endeavor. All proceeds from this event will be used to purchase items for children in need through our two programs. This year’s Auction is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2020.

Volunteer shifts are from 10:00am - 1:00pm, Monday - Sunday. Volunteers provide a wide range of support for our animal residents; stall and enclosure cleaning and maintenance, preparing meals, feeding meals, interacting and socializing with the animal residents, grooming animals, and working as part of a team who enjoys working outside, caring for the residents. One Heart Wild provides permanent homes for; horses, cows, goats, pigs, chickens, game fowl, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, dogs, cats, and other species occasionally.
