This event is a fundraiser for Marion Therapeutic Riding Association that is designed to raise awareness for our programming through inviting the community in for a holiday shopping extravaganza that will support small businesses and local vendors in our community at the same time. All vendor fees directly benefit our equine assisted programming allowing MTRA the opportunity to provide scholarships and services to individuals in our program and also potentially reduce our waiting list. We will have nearly 50 vendors along with a games and activities station for children to play, a vintage car show, and a photo opportunity area decorated with holiday theme. We have volunteers stationed in the vendor area, registration, vintage car area, parking, games & activities, photo areas, and assisting with set-up and tear-down that can help support this event and help it to run smoothly.Available Shifts

BGr8 is a national program designed to assist girls transitioning from primary to high school (approximately 12 years old), who have experienced trauma including abuse and/or neglect and are now in out-of-home-care (OOHC), to remain engaged in their education, leading to better life outcomes.Entering high school is a critical transition point, and these girls often struggle to navigate the complex and triggering situations while remaining engaged in study, which can result in minimal class engagement, suspensions and poor educational outcomes. BGr8 provides an opportunity for girls who have experienced trauma and complex family situations to remain engaged with their education via access to support tools and resources to assist with triggering situations arising during school, all in a flexible learning environment.
Currently in Australia there are 45,756 children experiencing displacement in OOHC. Many will have multiple placements, bouncing around the system from home to home. The impacts of trauma and impermanency are well documented, with many experiencing negative life outcomes such as homelessness, substance abuse, mental health issues and interactions with juvenile justice.
BGr8 is designed to provide inspiration, hope and practical strategies to assist these children to engage with their education in a way that provides them with access to bright futures and the ability to change their trajectory.
The activity involves assistance in establishing a website (or via other mechanism) to enable a pilot program with selected schools. The site would house initial educational material and video along with ability for students to engage (such as Q&A).

The Festival of Chairs’ signature feature are the re-purposed chairs by local artists. The chairs are symbolic of the children and families that the Children’s Advocacy Alliance serves on a daily basis. The chairs start the journey broken, tattered, abused, then they arrive at the Festival of Chairs as beautiful works of art; this is the visual representation of the path walked by the children we serve. These chairs, along with other works of art and hundreds of other unique items, are featured in live, silent and super silent auctions. Our vision is a community united in the protection of all children. Your support helps us continue our mission of ensuring that every child in our community who is abused or neglected has a voice for justice and a place for hope. Moreover, your support creates the possibility that we may prevent abuse prior to it happening through awareness, education, and prevention.
Spend an evening with us at the Festival of Chairs, embracing hope, speaking for change, and progressing towards a better future.

TO POTENTIAL CORPORATE SPONSORS:Stemming from the desire to give back to the Community we live in and support the causes which have impacted the lives of so many we know, even more we don’t know, a passionate number of Marlboro’s MVP Softball League players have banned together to create the 2019 Inaugural Wiffle Ball Classic. An event which will create continued awareness and benefit the programs of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Autism Speaks. Foundations which are tremendous advocacy organizations sponsoring research, awareness and outreach activities to those affected and their families. Additionally, funds raised will also assist the Marlboro Youth Baseball and Softball Association in maintaining its field complex and promoting its programs. The Founders of the Wiffle Ball Classic expect to continue this as an annual event, designating other meaningful causes to assist.
The Wiffle Ball Classic event takes the familiar wiffle ball game we all played as kids and arranges its participants into Pre-Teen; Co-Ed; Woman’s; and Men’s divisions, both in competitive and non-competitive formats. Teams consist of 5-7 players, and games are played in standardized dimensions, with pitching, fielding, and absent the need for base running. Essentially an offensive automatic format, with hits falling safely into zones allotted for singles, doubles, triples and home-runs. This seamlessly evens the playing field to cross many age groups, allowing for multi-generational teams.
The Marlboro MVP Softball League, founded nearly 3 decades ago, is a 30 and over, Men’s League, with 150 participants spread across ten teams. Its members are residents of many towns in Monmouth and Middlesex counties of NJ, along with players residing and travelling from the five boroughs of NYC. Its players stretch from 30-75 years of age, and it prides itself on being more than a vehicle to play softball. Rather a collaborate fraternity of individuals who form lifetime friendships and solidify family bonds. Who comes to the aid of those in need, in many different forms, outwardly or quietly, but always effectively and with great passion and discretion. To learn more about our league, please access our website at mvpsoftball.com.
We would love to have you participate in our event, perhaps provide sponsorship funds, making it a successful and enjoyable day for all involved, and the programs we are supporting.
Volunteers will assist with registration, field coordination, concession stand sales, clean up, parking lot coordination, vendor assistance, arcade games coordination
