We Need You this MDA Shamrocks Season!

Are you looking for a way to make a difference, help MDA and thank local retailers for their support of MDA families? We’d love to have you join the MDA Shamrocks Ambassador Team. Here are six ways you can get involved and support the cause:

1. Visit local MDA Shamrocks locations (assigned to you) and personally thank retailers and employees for their hard work and support of MDA.
2. Take photos of you and employees at participating retail locations – as well as cool Shamrocks décor and displays!
3. Refresh and refill shamrocks supplies if needed.
4. Help find creative ways to motivate and excite the employees.
5. Help MDA Recruit more amazing volunteers and ambassadors like you!
6. Help deliver MDA thank you incentives.

Opportunity Details

Feed My People is in need of a team to repack food items that will go into our Weekend Kids' Meal bags. We receive product such as pasta and cereal in giant totes that needs to be repacked into kid sizes. We will include these items in the 2000 bags that we distribute to low income children and youth every week to support them on weekends when there are no school meals. Thank you!

The Central Florida Diaper Bank provides diapers and other basic baby essentials at no cost to families in the Central Florida Community.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational is coming up Mar 4th- 10th, 2019. We would really appreciate you letting your employees know about this volunteer opportunity to help us make a difference in our local community. The golf tournament is a great way to volunteer and help us raise funds for a worthy cause.

Our agency will be selling food at a concession stand to help raise funds for the agency

We are looking for individuals, high school or college students, seniors, large groups, businesses, Fraternities and sororities groups.
High school students earn community service credits.

Individual and large groups are welcomed. A 4 minimum hour commitment would be appreciated

If any anyone can volunteer anytime on Mon-Fri 9:30-7:00pm we really need help during this time.

Sat and Sunday any time 8:00am-7:00pm we will really need help.

Opportunity Details

There are thousands of children living in the Greater Philadelphia area who don't have beds of their own. They might be sleeping on the floor, on sofas, or crowded into bed with siblings, parents, or even grandparents. Uncomfortable sleeping arrangements like these can prevent children from sleeping well. And if they're not sleeping well, they are more likely to have health issues and not do as well in school. One House at a Time partners with social service agencies across the region who refer families in need to us. Each child receives a twin sized mattress, a bed frame, a pillow, a sheet set, a blanket, a toothbrush, and some books. Help these children get a good nights sleep by delivering beds with us on Saturday, October 6th from 8am-11:30am. We need 4 lifters to help load up our Beds for Kids truck in Huntingdon Valley and travel as a group for 4-7 homes in the greater Philadelphia region to deliver them. You will get to meet the families and engage with the children.
