Fostering Memories provides formal dresses and tuxedos for homeless and foster youth to attend prom. Prom is meant to be a night filled with unforgettable memories. Homeless and foster youth don’t always get to live glamorously, so we were honored to give a little sparkle to an important night. We believe that EVERY youth should be able to attend prom with dignity and excitement! Fostering Memories goal is to make prom possible for all youth.

We are excited that we have been able to find a low cost space to set up items donated to Fostering Memories. With this we will have a year round space and be able to create a beautiful boutique style experience for youth who are in need of items to wear to prom. It has always been our goal to ensure youth who utilize Fostering Memories are able to use our service with dignity and integrity.

We are asking for 5 Kohls volunteers to come out and help us bring this space to life. Task would include unloading clothing racks and prom clothing items from the truck, putting the racks together. Separating the items and organizing them on the racks to create beautiful experience for youth when they visit to pick out items they may need!

A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a specially trained volunteer from the community who is appointed by the juvenile court judge to advocate for the best interests of children who have been removed from their family due to concerns of abuse and/or neglect. CASA volunteers are also called Guardians ad Litem (GAL).

CASA volunteers generally handle just one or two cases at a time so that they can give each child's case the sustained, personal attention they deserve. To a child, that means a consistent and caring adult presence in their life, during the time they need it most.

CASA volunteers must be 21 or older and must pass a background check.
