Be a buddy! Join us at Youth Villages for Runners Club. This program is a great way for individuals and organizations to plug in with our youth. You do not need to be a runner to participate, in fact, most of our youth prefer to walk. The goal of Runners Club is to focus on movement and discipline, making a goal and sticking to it!Our youth are rewarded with some great prizes for their miles, and this is a chance for you to help them get there, making great connections along the way.
*Volunteers will complete a confidentiality & liability waiver as well as a 30-minute volunteer orientation prior to engaging with youth.

Bayside Toy Library is a not-for-profit toy-lending service (for children aged between 6 months and 10 years) which provides families with access to a variety of educational items to assist with childhood development. It also encourages environmentally and economically sustainable behavior in our community.The library needs your support to do any or all of the following;
• Check toys are returned in good condition and return the toys to the shelves.
• Catalogue new toys
• Help organise toy backlog
• Sort donations
• Light cleaning of toys
• Organise shelves
• Find and reunite missing pieces with toys
• General library maintenance
All you need to bring is a smile and your sense of fun and love of children.

Opportunity Details
We take excess locally grown produce and dehydrate it in order that nutrient rich meals can be sent around the world to those facing food insecurity or are displaced by war or natural disaster. In 2 hours a group of 20 people can prepare 8000 meals. Volunteers are able to sort, wash, and prepare produce to be put on trays and loaded into the dehydrator. Then the dehydrator is unloaded and dehydrated produce is bagged, labeled, and packed for shipping.

We are working along with the friendly folks at Betty Brinn to offer some more comfortable, sensory friendly experiences for families. This is so important to help some of our children to be able to get those first visits under their belts so it becomes easier in the future.Volunteers are needed to help with check-in, sharing information and resources and assisting families with finding their way around the facility.
We have multiple dates through the year so if one date doesn't work, please check for another! Plan on having some fun at a great venue!!!
