Centro Infantil de los Angeles provides free daycare for children 1 month old - 5 years old. Volunteers are an integral part of our work at Centro Infantil de los Angeles. By donating your time, you can make a major difference in the lives of the children we serve. During your time volunteering with us, you will be placed in a classroom where you will assist the teacher with some of the following:
Playing with children
Arts & Crafts activities
Leading story-time
Assisting with meals
Changing baby clothes
Brushing teeth after meals
Assisting with field trips
We request a minimum of three days of service from volunteers. We especially welcome individuals with a background in nursing, early childhood education, or with Spanish language skills. Casa de los Angeles, our volunteer accommodations, is conveniently located directly behind the daycare and offers rooms with ensuite bathrooms, a full-kitchen/dining room, laundry services, and a lounge.

Opportunity Details

Spaulding for Children mentor youths 8 to 18 for ten months out of the year. This program ends for the summer break annually with a celebration. This year, the celebration will be held at the Troy Escape facility. The families we serve will have the opportunity to bowl, play laser tag, arcade games, eat good food and enjoy other families.

The purpose of this volunteer event is to inventory and prepare for our July 2018 Camp Live Laugh Love. We will be completing the inventory, preparing crafts/supplies, and preparing for our campers. It is important that we are set to receive these campers and volunteers (150ppl) so the entire focus can be on the well being of our campers. This is a grief camp for children that has had the loss of a loved one.

Come donate, tag, organize, assist and shop at our Charity Rummage Sale for Royal Family Kids Camp Hartland. ALL proceeds goes directly goes to the purchase of camp supplies needed for each child attending Royal Family Kids Camp. This camp is uniquely designed to help brokenhearted children in crisis heal from their emotional scars. Many of these vulnerable children are in the foster care system.
Each child coming to this week of camp receive an official RFK duffle bag, water bottle, 2 t-shirts, activity book, a bible, name tag lanyard, Mp3 player containing all the camp songs and skits from their week, and a personalized photo album containing their own camp memories. Our mission is to help vulnerable children create positive, life changing moments during their week of camp.

We are in need of volunteers to help with the back to school backpack giveaway. the purpose of this giveaway is to ensure that the children will have the items they need to succeed in school. The goal is no-child left behind! This event is extremely important because there are some children who carry their school supplies in plastic bags yet they are brave enough to continue going to school and risk the laughter. Will you help us put a smile on a child's face.

Opportunity Details

SFC holds an Ice Cream Social annually for the foster, adopt and prevention families we serve. We purchase water park tickets for everyone in their household, serve a continental breakfast and a full lunch. We have raffle give-a-ways throughout the day. This events gives the families an opportunity to have fun at the water park with no expense to them as well as give them the opportunity to network with other families like them.
