Gold In September (G9) is the charity partner for several endurance running events in Wisconsin. At each race, we need volunteers to act as course marshalls (directing traffic) as well as helping at water/food stations along routes. The G9 Endurance Program is a meaningful way for people to show support, raise awareness and fundraise to help fight childhood cancer. By participating as a volunteer at the Devil's Challenge Triathlon, you will be part of a great community working together to end childhood cancer! No athletic ability required. Just a good heart and positive attitude!

If you care about kids and can spare an hour to have fun with your friends, then Bowl for Kids' Sake is for you! This is our largest annual fundraiser to support our organization. Over 700 people participate from across our 5 county footprint.

Bowl for Kids' Sake is a fun and easy way for you and your company, friends, or family to support the life-changing work of Big Brothers Big Sisters. If you care about kids and can spare an hour to have fun with your friends, then Bowl for Kids' Sake is for you!

Opportunity Details

Each year WGB collects school supplies and distributes them to school-aged children in the communities we serve. For the month of August prior to school starting, families in need will get to pick up fully-stocked backpacks for their children. WGB averages 350-400 backpacks each year.

The same day the free clothing boutique will be open and women and children can shop for clothing.

Spanish speaking volunteers always needed.

This first-class, multi-distance bike ride supports Morrison Child and Family Services, which provides prevention, foster care, mental health, and substance abuse treatment to children, youth, and families in Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, Columbia, Linn, Benton, Lincoln, Marion, and Polk counties. The routes tour some of Oregon’s most beautiful wine country in the Willamette Valley, and there will be a celebration at the finish line where riders can enjoy music by The Denominators, lunch, beer, wine, and fun. For the last six years, the Coalition of Women Helping Children has held an annual brunch and fashion show that attracts nearly 400 women of all ages for a great morning of fun, fashion, and fellowship, while raising important funds for Community Services League's Children's Services. This year’s fashion show, “Fashion for Compassion,” presented by St. Mary’s Medical Center, will be Saturday, August 25th, at the Adam’s Pointe Conference Center in Blue Springs. Kohl's volunteers are needed to assist with registration and directing guests.
Community Services League is the largest provider of emergency and other social services to impoverished families in Eastern Jackson County. Each year, we assist over 15,000 neighbors living in poverty with food, clothing, medicine, utilities, etc. Services specifically for children include initiatives to keep families stably housed and children consistently in school, Back to School fairs where children can receive school supplies and new tennis shoes and families connect to important resources, and Christmas gifts.
