Christian Children's Home of Ohio (CCHO) will be hosting our 7th Annual Great Grill Off. The event will also be the conclusion to our 50th Anniversary weekend. This by donation event financially supports CCHO our family of ministries by providing a way for individuals and families to learn more about our organization. The event consists of a burger contest, picnic style side dishes and kids activities. Volunteers are utilized in several areas: Parking, Food Service, Kitchen Prep, Kids Activities.

Each night, the St. Vincent de Paul Meal Program’s two sites serve approximately 300 children and adults, but they need YOUR help!

Our South site (Cross Roads Kitchen) is in need of volunteers every Friday and Sunday from 3-7pm. Volunteer once or on a consistent basis - we appreciate you!

Volunteer opportunities include:
Shower attendant, food preparation, dish washing, food and beverage service, cleaning, laundry, guest relations, donation sorting, organizing, office assistance and special projects.

We are happy to provide a letter of completion for volunteer hours for school, court, W-2, FSET, GATES, Etc.

This is a fun, family friendly race and block party, with a purpose of raising funds and awareness for The Village Norristown. ALL proceeds go to supporting our programs.
The Village Norristown is a Non-Profit Organization located in the heart of Norristown. We aim to serve families living below the poverty line through education and meeting physical needs. We offer an After School Program for elementary aged children, in which we provide tutoring, literacy help, English language help, arts, and sports.
For adults, we offer English as a Second Language, Personal Finances and Basic Budgeting Classes, Computer Classes and support groups . Our goal at TVN is to see whole family transformation, and to see lives changed for the better.

Opportunity Details

Visitation supervisors sit in on supervised visits taking notes, not interacting with the family. This is a really easy position that makes a huge difference. Without our volunteers kids don't get to see their parent until a volunteer is available. Right now we just don't have enough and waiting list grows. Training is easy, we are across from Franklin Park. Once trained you go online and pick when you want to volunteer. Volunteers positions needed Wed. Fri or Sun. evening between 1 to 3 hours. 5p8p. Also needed Sun. afternoon 2:30-4:30. You choose.

The Latino Outreach Program is partnering with the Missouri Botanical Gardens to offer a night of safe family fun for families involved in the Latino Outreach Program. Volunteers will help with set up, clean up, sign in, and helping to facilitate activities with MoBOT staff.

Opportunity Details

This program prepares and distributes breakfast, lunch, and snacks for children on summer vacation. Volunteers will receive a briefing on the day’s meal(s) to be distributed to Summer Food Service Program sites; issue and document Summer Food Service Program meals, load meals into hot/cold holding containers; accurately document times that meals were picked-up, equipment was returned and issued; wash, clean, sanitize & store kitchen tools, containers & equipment. Assist with general pick-up/clean-up as needed & requested by Executive Chef.

Opportunity Details

Our goal is to use the event to raise money to fund wishes for Iowa children battling critical illnesses. We will grant 200 wishes this year in our state alone. Taco ‘bout Wishes is a social event filled with cycling, scenery and a festive, party atmosphere. Oh, and did we mention there will be delicious TACOS!? After completing their ride, participants will be rewarded with delicious tacos and cold beverages at Oskies for Sports.
