Each year, FAFS hosts holiday celebrations for children living in foster families throughout the state of New Jersey. The NJ State PBA holds an annual toy drive for us so each child in attendance can receive a holiday gift. Volunteers are needed to at the toy drive to sort toys by age and gender and help bag and label toys for distribution at our holiday parties.

FAFS’ Holiday Celebrations provide opportunities for foster children to connect with other children who share their experiences and “get it,” and in some cases, reunite with siblings placed in separate foster homes. They also reassure children in foster care, who have been removed from their families due to abuse and neglect, that there is a community who cares for and about them. By helping to sort and bag toys, you are helping to bring holiday joy to children and youth living in foster homes in New Jersey!
