When children select a new Page Ahead book to keep for their very own they write their name on a bookplate sticker and affix it to the inside cover. Bookplate stickers come in rolls of 1,000 and need to be rolled out and cut into strips of 12 stickers. The end result of this volunteer activity is bookplates that are easy for Page Ahead to ship to hundreds of schools in Washington State for teachers to distribute to their students for our spring book fairs. When children select their (free to them) new books, putting their name in it gives them ownership and gets them excited about reading their new books. This opportunity is repeatable! Page Ahead serves over 203 school sites across Washington State, USA.Max volunteers: up to 50 Micro-Volunteers at a time.
In-person project ONLY, at your office in the greater Seattle/Redmond area.
The project takes anywhere from 1 to 2 hours max. Page Ahead provides all the supplies and materials needed. We bring the project to you!
This opportunity is repeatable. We serve more than 26,000 kids in need living in Washington State. We will need a lot of bookplate packets made for the kids we serve.
