Support Mary’s Place by writing toy and gift card tags for our annual Giving Tree drive. As part of our WinterFest programming, we collect specific toys and gift cards from the community to share with our guests. We rely on volunteer support to fill out our tags, which we then share with many businesses and community groups across the Seattle area. We will provide a list of gifts and our Mary’s Place Giving Tree Tags. Please plan to coordinate pickup or shipping of supplies with Mary’s Place. This activity is repeatable, can be done remotely, and takes 60 minutes to complete. We can accommodate 15+ volunteers per instance of this activity. Available as facilitated (virtually or in-person) or non-facilitated. We can offer five facilitated sessions in October for groups of 15 or more volunteers. There is no funding required. Thank you for supporting us during #Give2024
Mary’s Place ensures that no child sleeps outside by centering equity and opportunity for women and families. We are known for providing shelter to families experiencing homelessness in King County, Washington, as well as for our Women’s Day Center in downtown Seattle and our extensive outreach and prevention programs.

You see them every time you open up a soft drink or soup, sometimes even when you feed your pet. Those tiny little tabs are easy to overlook, but they can make a BIG impact on the families of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Charlotte!Though small, tabs are clean and easy to collect – and they add up fast. RMHC of GC takes tabs to our recycling partner, United Scrap Metal, and exchange the tabs for money for our guest family fund! Although it costs RMHC of GC approximately $130 a night to shelter a family in medical crisis, families are invited to make only a small financial donation, but many cannot afford to contribute anything at all. The money from pop tabs helps to ensure that we are able to accommodate every guest, regardless of their ability to pay.
