At Surf & Give, we believe life’s most incredible experiences come from a place of gratitude — gratitude for the waves, for nature, for the people around us, and for the opportunity to make a difference.

The day begins with the ocean’s gift: the thrill of riding a wave, the rush of saltwater, and the warmth of the sun on your skin. Whether it’s your first time on a surfboard or your hundredth, each wave reminds us to be present, to appreciate the moment, and to embrace the beauty of the world around us.

And what better way to show gratitude than by giving back? After an energizing surf session, we come together to give thanks through action—restoring our patio and walls or by supporting our local projects.

Over a shared meal, we reflect on the morning—celebrating progress in the waves and the impact we’re making on the world. Afternoon workshops deepen our connection to sustainability, reminding us that gratitude is not just a feeling—it’s a responsibility.

As the sun sets, we paddle out for a final surf, feeling lighter, more connected, and grateful not just for the waves we’ve ridden, but for the difference we’ve made.

At Surf & Give, every wave is a gift, and every moment is an opportunity to give back. Come ride with us—experience the gratitude, share the stoke, and make an impact.

EEF’s Shoe Shopping Parties provide students in need with brand-new shoes, ensuring they have the comfort and confidence to walk into school ready to learn. During these special events, students get to pick out their own properly fitted shoes—often their first brand-new pair—while volunteers assist and cheer them on. Each shopping trip is a joyful experience that goes beyond footwear, reminding students that their community supports and believes in them.
What to Expect:
- Students will line up to have their sizes checked. You will be paired with 1-2 students at a time. Please assist each student in finding a pair of closed-toe shoes. Regular-priced or clearance shoes are acceptable.
- When student(s) have their new shoes, please assist them to the front register for them to checkout.
- After checking out, please walk students back to the waiting area for them to select their socks. Once they have their socks, students can color and play games while they wait for the rest of their group.
- You may remain with the student or assist with other students if needed.

The Children’s Home campus features a mile-long trail, carefully built and maintained over the years through the dedication of community groups and volunteers. These efforts have fostered lasting relationships and a shared commitment to creating a meaningful space for our residents. In 2022, a local Eagle Scout candidate helped formalize the path by adding trail markers, and thanks to continued support, the trail is now fully established as The Blossom Trail.

Residents use the trail as a peaceful retreat, enjoying nature and quiet reflection away from the bustle of campus life. Along the way, visitors can spot a variety of wildlife—birds soaring overhead, foxes denning among the trees, rabbits grazing, groundhogs ambling by, and deer appearing at twilight. For many of the youth in our care, these moments in nature are new and offer opportunities for discovery and learning.

Each year, our community comes together for a Blossom Trail Service Day to ensure the trail remains safe and inviting. Volunteers help clear debris, refresh landscaping, and keep this special space thriving. Join us in caring for a trail that symbolizes growth, renewal, and the journey forward—for our residents and our community alike.

Volunteers are needed to perform annual spring trail maintenance.

Fisioterapeutas
Terapeutas Ocupacionales
Maestros/as de educación especial
Maestros/as
Educadores sociales
Logopedas
Psicólogos/as
Integradores sociales
Enfermeros/as
Médicos/as

¡Únete a nuestra causa!

CASA of Tarrant County and its court-appointed volunteers advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children

Each year, thousands of children in Tarrant County are confirmed victims of child abuse and neglect. These children have experienced terrible trauma, and their lives are turned upside down. Child Protective Services takes legal responsibility for them, and may place them in a foster home or other facility. Due to too few foster homes, siblings are often split up into different places. Children are rarely able to stay in their own schools, day cares, or communities. Everything they have known is gone. Through no fault of their own, these abused children have become a part of an overburdened child welfare system. They deserve a voice in the courtroom. They need a CASA volunteer!

From helping siblings find permanent placement together, to finding a child a stable home with a relative, to uncovering information that helps reunite a loving family, volunteer advocates make incredible differences in the lives of abused and neglected children.
- You’ll talk with the child and their family members, teachers and others to find out where the child will be happiest and safest: with the parent(s), a relative or a loving foster family.
- You’ll speak for the child in court, making your fact-based recommendation for placement to the judge.
- You’ll act as the one constant in the child’s life as they experience changes in foster placements, schools and caseworkers.
