Are you looking to evolve your purpose in life? Consider joining a board for a non-profit that is driven by a singular mission with a huge impact:

The Gift of Adoption Fund seeks to fill the void that separates child from family through adoption completion grants, giving vulnerable children a permanent home and the chance to thrive.

Gift of Adoption is a national 501(c)(3) that provides the final funds that prospective adoptive parents need to complete the adoptions of vulnerable children from within the U.S. and from around the world.

Networking and fundraising are the primary responsibilities of board members.
To fundraise, we organize fun social events, online campaigns and more. The board currently consists of professionals who volunteer their time and connections to further the cause. You can live anywhere in the state but are expected to participate in monthly calls and, ideally, quarterly in-person meetings. 100% of the money we raise goes directly to completing families' adoptions in your state.

We are a team of smart, dedicated (and, we like to think, fun!) people who believe that a loving family is a basic human right.

We are looking for Board Members who:
- Are passionate about volunteering to help children.
- Have creative fundraising ideas and the motivation and social network to make them happen!
- Are connected to and/or interested in outreach to the local business community.
- Enjoy connecting people and finding partnership opportunities.
- Are comfortable reaching out to their network of family and friends about a good cause.
- Have strong communication skills, and are highly organized.
- Want a volunteer opportunity that makes a permanent difference!

We expect that you will:
- Help plan and attend fundraising events.
- Work with the other board members to collectively raise money to fund adoptions.
- Participate in one board call a month.
- Attend a quarterly in-person meeting.

In our Nebraska/Iowa region, we ask board members to make a personal gift and hit a fundraising goal each year that they serve.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to talk!

Reach out to us today with the following information:
1. Why are you interested in the Gift of Adoption?
2. Where in the state are you located?
3. What unique quality could you bring to our organization?

And please note that this is a volunteer, un-paid position. Our Board Members typically serve 3-year terms. Click the links below for more information!

Fashion for Families, an Evening of Style has been held for the last nine years to benefit Family and Children's Services. We expect 150 community members to attend to enjoy appetizers and desserts, a silent auction and a raffle while viewing fashions for men, women and children from area stores. We are seeking volunteer models of all ages.
We will also need volunteers to help with set-up and clean-up.

Funds raised at the fashion show help us provide services including Prepared Parents, a free childbirth and child development class for expectant parents; parenting education, including co-parenting training for parents dealing with the adjustment of divorce, re-marriage or the blending of families and Camp Iknowme, a summer camp teens who are involved in both the juvenile justice and community mental health systems.

We work continuously to improve accessibility for those with limited resources and develop new programs to meet needs as they are identified. Our agency is unique as it turns no one away regardless of age, presenting concern, ability to pay or any other factor. Whether it is a young pregnant woman in need of prenatal care, a middle school student coping with bullying or an adult affected by the opioid epidemic, when people reach out for help, we reach back. Your support of the Fashion for Families event could make a real difference in our ability to raise much needed funds that will reduce risk for vulnerable children and families and bring hope to those who all too often feel helpless.

Camp Wamp's survival challenges encourage teamwork, self education, and fosters goal setting. We believe being a part of a team is one way to enjoy adventures that the wilderness of the High Sierra’s has to offer. Nature is our living classroom, and the more children are exposed to elements, the more they tend to appreciate the natural environment.

This fundraiser was our largest last year and provided over thirty beds for children in Okaloosa County that do not have a bed of their own. Our goal this year is to have more supporters join us for the dinner and provide more beds than we provided last year. Every child deserves to have a bed of their own.

We need volunteers to serve and clear each course. Our chefs will orchestrate and give instructions of when everything needs to be done. Everyone receives the same plate, so no order taking. Wear black solid clothing, hair back and comfortable, flat shoes. Please bring your smile!

Camp to Belong–Wisconsin, Inc. (CTB-WI) connects and reunites siblings involved with the child welfare system. This includes separated siblings regardless of what their particular living arrangements are (i.e. biological home, kinship providers, foster homes, adoptive homes, living independently). Our mission is for separated siblings to build and maintain connections through a variety of programs. The main program is a summer camp at which children placed in out-of-home care can be with their biological siblings to build shared memories and connections.
Our primary fundraiser is our annual Bowl-a-Thon event. All money raised at this event supports programming for our week long summer camp. Currently in Wisconsin there are over 7,300 children placed in foster care and 50% to 75% are separated forma at least one of their siblings.
Teams of 5 can register for the event. Each team is anticipated to raise $500, which is the camper fee for one child to attend camp. Free food , a CTB-WI t-shirt and fun are included for all participants.
