In this fun class our Senior participants experience mental and social stimulation, exercise eye-hand coordination & manual dexterity. However, this presents a challenge for some. We would like to offer 'crafty aides' to those who need assitance with this rewarding project.

There are two volunteer opportunities in the warehouse:
The first shift is from 4:30 pm —7:00pm
The second shift is from 6:30pm — 9:00pm.

Assuming current trends continue, by 2030 nearly 94,000 residents 55 years and older will be living with Alzheimer’s or other dementias, In addition there are more than 140,000 caregivers in San Diego County providing unpaid care to those living with Alzheimer’s.The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions. Together, families, friends, co-workers, social and religious groups and more, display a combined strength and dedication in the fight against this devastating disease.
