And in turn the money we earn from this service project through Kohl's associates volunteers time will be put towards college scholarships for underprivileged students. We will be creating amazing decorative Spiders out of glass beads.
In this fun class our Senior participants experience mental and social stimulation, exercise eye-hand coordination & manual dexterity. However, this presents a challenge for some. We would like to offer 'crafty aides' to those who need assitance with this rewarding project.

There are two volunteer opportunities in the warehouse:

The first shift is from 4:30 pm —7:00pm
The second shift is from 6:30pm — 9:00pm.

More than 60,000 San Diegans age 55 years and older are living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Assuming current trends continue, by 2030 nearly 94,000 residents 55 years and older will be living with Alzheimer’s or other dementias, In addition there are more than 140,000 caregivers in San Diego County providing unpaid care to those living with Alzheimer’s.

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions. Together, families, friends, co-workers, social and religious groups and more, display a combined strength and dedication in the fight against this devastating disease.

This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease!

On walk day, volunteers are needed to assist with Set Up, Walker Registration, Water Stations, Route Monitors, Promise Garden, Break Down and more! Various shifts are available.

Rock The Block engages volunteers with meaningful activities such as pulling weeds, painting, raking, washing windows, and planting flowers. This initiative serves residents who are in need, often the elderly or single parents. You have the opportunity to change the face of an entire neighborhood in one day! Imagine the possibilities.

We would love to have help with, printing, folding, stuffing, stamping and sending out our monthly statement and fact sheet to all of our customers. This would need to be done April 4th or 5th and the about that same time each month.
