Hosted by Providence Home & Community Care Special Events.

Marianwood was founded in 1986 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace and purchased by the Providence Health System in 1996 and is the only nonprofit skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in the Issaquah/Sammamish area.

Last Summer we began improvements to the outdoor area around the Riverton Senior Center. A beautiful flower garden was successfully created. This was phase one and it was very well received by the Seniors who attend this center. Stepping out into the fresh air and taking in the sights and smells of all these flowers has been a delight to our participants.
Now, we want to revive some old planting boxes that have been neglected for many years. When completed this project will give the participating seniors an opportunity to enjoy tending, harvesting and using fresh herbs.
Volunteers are requested to help us repair, re-stain, and re-plant these grow boxes.
