Passionate about getting involved in your community? Help us put an end to Alzheimer's!
We need you! The Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter is looking for volunteers to help us with our Hartford Walk to End Alzheimer's event.

This is the perfect volunteer opportunity to stretch your leadership skills and help us in the fight against Alzheimer's. The walk is located at the Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field, in Hartford CT! The Walk will take place on Sunday, October 16 this year.

Every year, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's takes place in over 600 communities nationwide — an effort that could not be done without the help of dedicated Walk day volunteers. These individuals help with event set up, registration, check in, booths, traffic control, table set up/take down, advocacy efforts, cheerleading and more!

Please reach out to Jess Tessman, Development Coordinator, if you are interested in volunteering. We hope you join us in the Fight to End Alzheimer's! #ENDALZ

Jobs for Humanity paves the way to a fairer future for all by connecting historically underrepresented talent to welcoming employers. Millions of people face a disproportionate lack of opportunity in the job market.

Jobs for Humanity recognizes this and are building a community of volunteers and activists that are working together to ensure that the blind, the neurodivergent, black leaders, single moms, refugees, and returning citizens have equal access to employment opportunity.

This Twitter for Good Day, let one of our Meals on Wheels homebound seniors or an adult with disabilities know that their community cares about them. Every year since 1970, our volunteers have made and distributed handmade cards! Especially now during the COVID-19 crisis, these cards can help lift spirits as many seniors are isolated and alone.

Each month we pack a card into every client’s meal that is safely delivered by one of our drivers. Help us reach our goal of receiving 1000 more cards by the end of May. You will have fun tapping into your artistic side, plus you’ll feel good knowing that you’re making a difference in the lives of so many of the elderly in our community. #twitterforgood

Many of our seniors rely on Meals on Wheels to meet their nutritional needs outside of the daily meal provided them. The Senior Meal Bag aims to feed our most food-insecure seniors by providing them with supplemental non-perishables on a weekly basis.
Canned goods such as soups, beans, tuna/chicken, fruits and vegetables help keep our elderly neighbors nourished during these times of rising food costs.
