The Autism Society SWLA provides activities designed to include autism community members and their families throughout the year for 6 parishes. We have brighter, quieter movies, sensory Sunday's at Chuck E Cheese and other events, as well. Our largest is Camp Hopen, an overnight camp for autism members and up to 2 caregivers. It is free to them but our organization is charged. The average cost is $300 per camper. We bundle and resale donated Mardi Gras beads back to the Krewes to help cover the costs. Currently we have 2 climate controlled storage units full of beads that NEED to be sorted and several orders already in place claiming them. We have the beads but need the sorting.Available Shifts

The UCP Telethon is set for August 4th and 5th at the Anniston Meeting Center. Each year, ECAUCP hosts the Telethon to raise funds needed to continue providing life changing therapies and services to children and adults with disabilities. Local businesses throughout our service area come together to support the Telethon through sponsorship, silent auction donations, or approving a new canvas site. It is our hope that our friends at Kohl's will be able to volunteer again this year to help set up the silent auction on August 3rd from 2pm to 5pm.Available Shifts
