Fiesta Especial® Celebration Day is a one-day community-based education program at the Fiesta® Carnival for children and adults living with disabilities along with their schools, caregivers, peers, and families. disABILITYsa Fiesta Especial® programs create inclusive and educational experiences engaging individuals with disabilities in the culture and celebrations of Fiesta® in a safe, family-friendly environment. This program is provided to the disability community and their support networks a no admission cost.

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to volunteer without a supervising adult. Children, 12 and up are welcome to volunteer, but must be accompanied by an adult, 18 years of age or older.

Since 2011, the Fiesta Especial Inclusion 5K & Parade team has worked to ensure that there’s a Fiesta experience that’s inclusive of people with all types of abilities. INCLUSION is involvement and empowerment, where the inherent worth and dignity of all people are recognized. An inclusive community promotes and sustains a sense of belonging; it values and practices respect for the talents, beliefs, backgrounds, and ways of living of its members.

The Fiesta Especial Inclusion 5K is an inclusive, family-friendly event taking place on Saturday, April 2nd,2022. Starting from The City of Windcrest's City Hall and winding through the neighborhoods, this race includes competitive divisions for Runners, Riders, Walkers, and Rollers alike. Spectators are invited to bring a chair or blanket, find a spot along the route and enjoy watching the parade go by... at no cost to the family. Free games and activities are available for parade spectators to enjoy in the parking lot of the Windcrest City Hall and food and beverages will be available for sale.

Hi Atlassian, we need your help! We are a primarily volunteer based organisation that supports people with intellectual disability to participate in sport and fitness activities, and health and leadership programs.

We need someone really clever at mapping systems and data requirements across all of the different systems we use so we can determine next steps into the future. We don't have the skills or expertise to make sense of what we have, what we need and where we need to go. HELP!

We have an athlete & volunteer CRM, another system to manage health info at Special Olympics Games, cloud based project management software, a games management system (times, scores, heats finals, etc for different sports like the Olympics), comms systems including survey monkey, mailchimp and websites, and a management of sports registration and payment for participation at a club level (50 clubs across Australia). Then there is fundraising, event registration, grants, and donations. There are volunteer and staff onboarding induction and compliance, staff payroll, learning management, contractor payments, and compliance checks with a number of different govt bodies (eg state based childsafe, Special Olympics International compliance, NDIS compliance (to a lesser degree for now), Sport Australia compliance, Sport Integrity Commission etc.

Our finances are run on a basic system, and our federated model means that we have multiple ledgers for clubs as well as national and state level - all under one ABN. We haven't optimised our invoicing processes and also need to support future NDIS options.
We are on Microsoft operating system, and we have hybrid cloud and real server IT system that is managed by an external company. We don't have anything app based that is athlete facing, and rely on EDMs, and many social media accounts to communicate with athletes, who are at the centre of why we are here an should be the start of the journey.
