General EyeBall information:The Eye Ball is night to celebrate a great cause, honor those who help Project Vision bring better access to health to the Hawaiian islands, as well as fundraise for another successful year of community outreach. Guests purchase tables which directly fund our non-profit efforts and are celebrated with live music, entertainment, libations, dinner, prizes, live and silent auctions. Annually, Project Vision Hawaii garners the support of some significant VIP guests and great musical headliners! This year we have Mike Love and Paula Fuga performing!
All PVH volunteers are engaged in the same experience. We have a volunteer relaxation station set up with food and beverages as well as a volunteer appreciation gift. We also try to get individual team photos as well as one large group volunteer photo.
Volunteer Information:
Corporate volunteer request:

The check-in/registration table is a guest's first impression of the EyeBall and we know the volunteers will assist us to help all run smoothly! Once check-in is done, Microsoft volunteers might transition to another volunteer position such as the live auction- this is always an exciting role! Additional Request: Project Vision Hawaii would like to request for any available computers, devices, payment systems or software to be donated to on behalf of the corporate organization to assist the cashier, registration and check-in table during the event. Corporate personnel will volunteer during event, be in charge of devices, and take devices back to their storage after the event.

Leg Up Farm's Fall Fest is the organization's marquee event for both connecting with the community and raising the funds needed to provide children impacted by special needs with invaluable pediatric therapy services. Held annually in October, between 3,000-5,000 people come to Leg Up Farm for the event. The event consists of: 60 craft vendors, 15 food trucks, kids activities (i.e. pumpkin decorating, trick-or-treat trail, playground access, fish pond access, etc.), tours of the therapy center, and fundraising activities (i.e. silent auction and donation station). In 2018 alone, Leg Up Farm served over 550 individuals and provided more than 14,000 therapy appointments. Unfortunately, the need for Leg Up Farm services does not diminish, as evident from the more than 500 children who are currently on our waiting list.
What continues to set Leg Up Farm apart from other pediatric therapy providers is that it does not limit the number of Medicaid recipients served. Additionally, Leg Up Farm provides scholarships and sliding scale payment arrangements to un- and underinsured families. As such, children who would otherwise have to wait for services, due to limited openings for Medicaid recipients, or who cannot access services at all, due to a lack of financial resources, are able to access dire, life-changing services through Leg Up Farm. While this commitment is invaluable to the children and families served, it limits Leg Up Farm’s ability to retrieve payment for the true cost of services.
Through events such as Fall Fest, necessary resources and awareness are raised to keep Leg Up Farm accessible to every child who may need our services, which include: physical, occupational, speech and aquatic therapy; counseling services; therapeutic horseback riding; nutrition services; and, educational and recreational programming.

The One Step Closer Walk & 5K Run brings together over 600 participants, those touched by autism and the greater community in a supportive, energizing and fun environment. It features a timed 5K run around Centennial Lake, a “Lake Walk” of the same distance, and a shorter three-quarter mile “Amazing Racers” course for those needing 1:1 assistance. We have runners and walkers who participate individually as well as in teams to harness their fundraising power and make this a spirited, hands-on experience! There will be children’s activities, including face painting, Star Wars costumed performers, a moon bounce and other inflatable games. One of our special guests will be Caleigh Shade, Miss Maryland Teen USA 2018. The event also features exhibitor tables for local businesses, organizations, health & human service agencies and microbusinesses owned or operated by those on the autism spectrum.
All proceeds stay in Howard County and directly impact the lives of children and adults with autism. For 25 years, the Howard County Autism Society (HCAS) has served individuals on the autism spectrum, their families, and community by providing information, support, and advocacy; promoting awareness of autism that values the dignity and uniqueness of each individual; and working to improve the quality of and access to services and to educational opportunities.
