We are seeking out an experienced volunteer who has clerical experience with Microsoft Office suite and hard copy filing to help us out on Tuesdays and Thursdays during business hours of 9 to 5 in a our nonprofit office in mid-Wilshire Los Angeles. Experience working in any type of legal setting would be especially helpful. Unlimited coffee and jelly beans!

We are having our 4th annual Muscle Walk event to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association!

This awesome community event and 1 mile fun walk will take place at the Southwood Town Center on Saturday, October 13th.

We need and welcome volunteers to help us set up, check in walkers, pass out waters, take pictures, and direct people on the route from approximately 7:30am-10:30am. There will be food, face painting, and fun! Come join us!

THURSDAY 9am until 1pm Food Pantry set up, stocking, receiving a shipment, sorting and setting up Clothing Pantry
We are in a temporary building and everything except the grocery store is set up on Thursday and tore down on Saturday. In the summer and fall we service 80 to 90 families per week on Friday evening and Saturday morning. That requires a lot of clothes (which are completely put away every Saturday and put back out on Thursday. We received approximately 1500 pounds of food on Thursday which needs to be unloaded, unboxed and stocked or placed into inventory. No clients shop on Thursday.

The MS Society is in need of event volunteers to help at the MS Society's annual Boston Volvo Thanksgiving Day Road Race.

Thanks to volunteer support, this event raised $70,000 in 2017 for multiple sclerosis research and services for people living with MS.

Volunteer opportunities include: runner registration, medical aids, food service, route support, set-up/clean-up and more.

This is a great opportunity for families, corporate groups, and individuals.

Our adults LOVE talking to people and learning about others lives. If you have a story to share we would love to hear it! We offer Life Skills classes in the morning between 10:00-11:15 and electives in the afternoon between 1:00-2:15. Maybe your experience coincides with a unit of study we are learning or an elective we have available. Invest some time in the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Assist with the Day Activities Halloween running games and activities, judging a costume contest, serving snacks and helping our customers have a fun time.

The Unicorn Centers’ Day Activity program provides our customers with an active, vibrant day program. Our team works closely with our clients - adults with ID (intellectual disabilities - formerly mental retardation) to be included in a community-based environment where we help them learn, improve and retain the life skills that are necessary to live and participate successfully in home and community life.
