Citizen Advocates promotes the value of life enriching relationships that defend and support people living with disabilities. We creates opportunities for people with disabilities to make connections with unpaid, unrelated people in their community. We work with people that are often pushed aside in our community, people who because of their disability, often are the most vulnerable population that we have in our community. Events like our CA Jam gives people with disabilities a way to get involved in the community and build friendships which cause them to become less lonely and isolated and therefore at a less of a risk for abuse and greater opportunities for wellness.

This fundraiser is important to the agency in order to fund the services not funded through county, state, or federal agencies. Many of the services provide direct services to individuals with intellectual disabilities that would not other wise be eligible to participate. For some, these types of programs may be their only social interactions and provide opportunities for them to learn social and life skills. We hope you will join us to make this event a success and enable us to continue offering these programs.Available Shifts
