Camp Courageous has been fortunate enough to team up with the Green Bay Packers for a once in a lifetime opportunity. On Wednesday, April 11 we will be hosting one of their five annual Tailgate Tour stops. The money generated from this fundraiser will help to update one of camper's most favorite buildings: the pool. Volunteers will possibly assist in serving food, helping run kids' games, directing people, selling merchandise/tickets, parking cars and much more.

My family will be holding a fundraiser in honor of my daughter, Rachel Smith, who was born with Down Syndrome on March 21, 2012. The event will be a spaghetti dinner held at the Baden United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 24, 2018. Thanks to the generosity of businesses like yours, we have been able to raise nearly $25,000 for the DSAP over the past four years.

The Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh (DSAP) is a volunteer organization of parents and professionals committed to improving the quality of life, health, and well being of individuals who have Down syndrome. The DSAP is a non-profit, public charitable organization under 501(c)(3) (Tax ID#25-1621542) with a simple mission: To provide support to families and individuals with Down syndrome through education and information.

On a personal level, the DSAP has been an integral part of my daughter’s life by not only providing my family with a host of information, but also serving as a coordinator to the variety of invaluable services available for her care. By holding this fundraiser, we hope to be able to give back a small fraction of that which we have received from this community of dedicated and caring individuals.

We have benefitted in the past from the Kohl's Associates in Action program and are hoping we can work together again.

Bethesda Lutheran Communities is pleased to announce the 2018 Night to Shine event sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities ages 14 and older. Night to Shine will be held on February 9, 2018 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Centennial, Colorado. Bethesda is excited to be partnering with Shepherd of the Hills in hosting the event.

Every guest of Night to Shine enters this complimentary event on a red carpet complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi. Once inside, guests experience hair and makeup stations, shoe shining areas, limousine rides, corsages and boutonnieres, catered food, karaoke, prom favors for each honored guest, a respite room for parents and caretakers, and, of course, a dance floor – all leading up to the moment when each guest is crowned king or queen of the prom.

We are looking for volunteers to help make this event a success. Please contact Sue Hart at susan.hart@mailblc.org for more information on volunteer opportunities. Our biggest needs currently are buddies to be matched with attendees to make sure they have a good time and red carpet team members to cheer on attendees as they walk down the red carpet!

For the past 17 years, Kokomo has come together to provide disability awareness through a series of events throughout the month of March. All of those events lead up to the annual basketball game put on by Bona Vista Programs, Inc. at the historic Memorial Gymnasium. We would like to invite you to be part of this special event, and to request your support through volunteering.
This year, the basketball game is scheduled for March 22, 2017, and, as in years past, will feature local Kokomo, Indiana celebrities vs Bona Vista All-Stars.

We will need help with basketball game set up, coordinating time out, quarter and half-time performances, concession, support for our persons served and clean up.
