There are great opportunities to work with our guide dogs in training at our Training Center in Phoenix Arizona. The puppies/young dogs need to be exposed to all kinds of situations and scenarios in their training process. The dogs have classes every Saturday, attend events, and go on outings regularly. They need humans to guide them and help them learn good behaviors as they become accustomed to crowds, shopping centers, obstacle courses, and of course public transit and shopping centers.
There are also opportunities for youth volunteers at the training center, caring for the dogs, and for handing simple chores.
