GiGi U is a continuing education and career prep program for individuals that are 18+. This is the Rockford Playhouse's most highly attended program, with almost 30 students. It is a blast! Working closely with our Education Coordinator, you will have an opportunity to connect with our students and help them succeed. Special Olympics BC - Surrey is looking to fill an open Treasurer position on their Local Committee. This role will include:
- Attending monthly meetings in-person in the Semihamoo area (1-2 hours)
- Maintaining books of accounts using Quickbooks Online
- Depositing cheques and making payments as needed (e.g. facility fees, rentals, payments to provincial office)
- Provide monthly financial reports using Quickbooks
- Being the cheque signer for the SOBC - Surrey bank account

Skills and experience required to perform duties:
- Knowledge of accounting and finance
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, accounting, inventory and payroll systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Quickbooks would be considered an asset
- Fundraising or grantwriting experience would be considered an asset

WAAT Dogs are looking for puppy raisers, fosters and puppy socialisers for puppies that are in training to become future Assistance Dogs.

WAAT Dogs provides all food, equipment, vet costs and formal training for the dog while they are in your care.

WAAT Dogs puppy raisers are required to commit to:
- Positive Dog Training Methods Only
- Integrating the dog into your daily routine
- Have a secure, dog-friendly house/garden
- Be able to attend regular group/individual training sessions located in your area
- Be home with the dog more often than out.

WAAT Dogs puppy raisers are the amazing individuals who make our work possible. Without these individuals we would not be able to provide Assistance Dog services to individuals with disabilities. We require puppy raisers for various durations from short-term care, to longer-term care options.

NAMIWalks Maryland is part of the largest grassroots fundraising and education effort for mental illness in the United States. Almost 2000 people will gather in Baltimore to raise awareness for mental health issues and to help erase the stigma around mental illness. Funds raised from NAMIWalks will will help us and our affiliates continue to deliver and offer our free education and support programs to people with mental illness and their families in Maryland. On Walk Day we will need volunteers to help with; registration, information, children's corner, t-shirts, food and snack tables; monitoring our route, and help with tear-down after the event.

Opportunity Details

We are looking for someone with accounting background to take over our AR/AP.

Your tasks
- Make sure all Withdraws and Deposits are in QuickBooks and are under the correct classes
- Run reports as needed to present to the Board of Directors
- Preparing reconciliations (i.e. bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, general ledger accounts, etc.)
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- Establishing, documenting, and evaluating internal processes
- Provide budget and forecasting
- Budgeting for projects
- Assist CPA as needed

What’s needed
-Must have an understanding of basic bookkeeping
