Every Thursday since 2007, Community Wellness Collaborative has offered free integrative health events to the San Diego community. At off-site locations in City Heights or Southeastern San Diego, community members are able to access free wellness services like acupuncture, naturopathic medical consults, chair-based yoga, and more.
We feel strongly that financial constraints should never keep people from accessing health and wellness services. Our volunteer practitioners partner with Pacific College of Health Sciences, Bastyr University, and OG Yoga to expand our fellow San Diegans’ access to health.

Currently, our program operates at
Queen’s Bees Arts & Cultural Center
(3925 Ohio St) from 2-6 PM every Thursday. (Set-up begins at 12:30p)
Chair Yoga class at 3pm
Lottery sign-up for Acupuncture and Naturopathic Medicine services at 1:30 PM. 1st come, 1st served after that.

We need help setting up tables, chairs, admin & clinical supplies, and facilitation of patient flow through our wellness offerings. If you happen to be bilingual, translation assistance would also be helpful. Additionally, you may be asked to assist our Program Coordinator with other tasks in the production of our weekly clinical events.

You'll also get the opportunity to observe, and possibly receive some of the services offered if space and time permits.

Cycling Without Age Seneca County's goal is to embrace our mission, “To change the world by combatting loneliness and building a stronger community across generations.” We do this through a simple act of kindness and by volunteers, taking senior citizens and individuals with disabilities on bicycle rides so they can engage with others and enjoy the great outdoors. The cycle rides allow the individuals to "feel the wind in their hair," and feel the freedom of mobility that they might otherwise be limited to. Using a specially designed three-wheeled cycle with a two-passenger seat at the front of the cycle and a driver’s seat in the rear where the cyclist (or Pilot, as we call them), we are able to pedal the passengers for a lovely cycle ride in the fresh air.
During the past 12 months, CWA Seneca County has given over 633 rides to individuals from ages 3 to 103, with our 26 volunteers donating over 352 volunteer pilot hours along with our Board of 7 donating over 168 hours of their time. Generally, we have at least two to three, or more volunteers go to a nursing or care facility or event and provide a safe, assisted cycle ride for our passengers. These rides allow them to get outdoors and feel the joy of cycling, without needing to pedal. We generally have one person who functions as the captain and works with the facility staff to schedule rides, another individual, coordinates our volunteers to assist on specific days and times, while others get the passenger waivers signed and assist with loading and unloading passengers safely on to the Trishaw. One volunteer usually interacts with the residents as they wait their turn and help with any issues that may arise. This program is a blessing to the riders, as well as the volunteers. We have some volunteers who help with the fundraising so we can purchase the Trishaws and for their maintenance and insurance costs. We currently serve the area of Seneca County, Ohio.
In just our first active year, we have 26 trained volunteer pilots
