À Mon Shack, nous offrons, à nos 18 locataires et à toute la communauté estrienne, une programmation d'activités et ateliers diversifiés. Nous offrons des ateliers créatifs (DIY bricolages, art-thérapie, sculptures en argile), des ateliers sportifs et de remise en forme (yoga, autodéfense, randonnées en montagne, bootcamp), des ateliers de gestion du budget et des impôts, des ateliers sur l'estime de soi et la santé mentale (trousse de survie à l'anxiété, pleine conscience, groupes de discussions) ainsi que des ateliers de cuisine de groupe.

Vous aimeriez organiser une ou des activités au sein d'un organisme communautaire? Vous avez des habiletés ou connaissances que vous aimeriez mettre à profit auprès de nos jeunes adultes de 18 à 35 ans? Nous recherchons des bénévoles comme vous, qui ont des idées d'activités et ateliers à nous proposer, afin de nous aider à diversifier notre programmation! Nous sommes ouverts à toutes vos propositions d'activités et elles peuvent être réalisées à distance ou directement sur place au sein de l'organisme.

Nous possédons déjà des équipements diversifiés pour tous projets artistiques (crayons, peinture, toiles, pinceaux, papiers, argile, etc.) ou sportifs (aire de méditation extérieure, paniers de basket-ball, ballons divers, équipements de jeux extérieurs, etc.) et vous serez accompagné de l'un de nos intervenants lors de l'animation de votre atelier, au besoin.

This is our 6th annual spring craft & vendor fair. We have more then 100 booths, a raffle, concessions and retails sales. We are looking for volunteers to help sell raffle tickets, work the concession stand, sell dog bandanas, help handle dogs in training if desired

Opportunity Details

Volunteers assist isolated and physically challenged individuals with their personal grocery shopping in a group setting. HandyDART will pick up eligible individuals from their home, drop them off at Cranbrook Safeway where they will each be greeted by a volunteer who will assist them shopping. Once groceries are paid for, everyone will go to the Cranbrook Spice Hut and have coffee or tea. After coffee and socialization, HandyDART will pick-up the eligible individuals and will get dropped off at their home. One volunteer will assist by carrying the groceries into their home. A fun and enjoyable way to spend a Friday afternoon.

Team Fishguy Transplant Foundation will be making baskets of goodies for local transplant clinics and doctors offices highlighting April's National Organ Donor Month. We need your help putting all the goodies together. We will also be plastic wrapping all our handbags for the upcoming Purse Bash.

Fiesta Especial® Celebration Day is a one-day community-based education program at the Fiesta® Carnival for children and adults living with disabilities along with their schools, caregivers, peers, and families. disABILITYsa Fiesta Especial® programs create inclusive and educational experiences engaging individuals with disabilities in the culture and celebrations of Fiesta® in a safe, family-friendly environment. This program is provided to the disability community and their support networks a no admission cost.

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to volunteer without a supervising adult. Children, 12 and up are welcome to volunteer, but must be accompanied by an adult, 18 years of age or older.

Since 2011, the Fiesta Especial Inclusion 5K & Parade team has worked to ensure that there’s a Fiesta experience that’s inclusive of people with all types of abilities. INCLUSION is involvement and empowerment, where the inherent worth and dignity of all people are recognized. An inclusive community promotes and sustains a sense of belonging; it values and practices respect for the talents, beliefs, backgrounds, and ways of living of its members.

The Fiesta Especial Inclusion 5K is an inclusive, family-friendly event taking place on Saturday, April 2nd,2022. Starting from The City of Windcrest's City Hall and winding through the neighborhoods, this race includes competitive divisions for Runners, Riders, Walkers, and Rollers alike. Spectators are invited to bring a chair or blanket, find a spot along the route and enjoy watching the parade go by... at no cost to the family. Free games and activities are available for parade spectators to enjoy in the parking lot of the Windcrest City Hall and food and beverages will be available for sale.

Opportunity Details

Join us for a sensory Easter egg hunt event for visually impaired kids, their family members, and interested kids in the community. We will have activity stations catered to all senses, such as touch, taste, smell, hearing, and more - EXCEPT vision. The goal is to make a fun event fully inclusive of kids with low vision or blindness.

Opportunity Details

We are holding a fundraiser event, "Carnival Fun" on Sat. June 4th with a goal to raise $5,000. We are in need of 30 volunteers to help with set-up, manage games, food tables, ticket sales and clean up. Set up is from 9:00 AM - noon, event is from noon to 4 PM and clean up is from 4-5 PM.
