We would be so excited for you to join other community members helping neighbors who could use a little lasagna love. The pan of lasagna is not just to fill bellies but hearts too. When a family in need receives their pan of deliciousness it is a powerful reminder that they are cared for and their community is there in a time of need. We are no judgement, no questions asked organization. A family in need may be a parent who is stretched thin between work and children who would enjoy a warm with their family; someone who has experienced any type of loss recently; just for the sake of self care and mental health- someone who could just use a break; or any other reason someone could be uplifted. Your home cooked meal brings so much more to the table than a hot dinner for a family.

Wheelmap.org is the worlds largest map for wheelchair accessible places. It offers an easy way to promote employee engagement as part of a CSR effort: During a so-called mapping event, small teams of people work together to check locations according to their wheelchair accessibility and enter them on Wheelmap.org.

With the Mapping-Event Planner, we provide a tool to plan, execute and evaluate each event. It is easy to implement and has been used by companies like Apple, Salesforce or Booking.com as well as numerous cities, municipalities or hotel chains.

Participants are usually highly engaged and enjoy it, as it combines online tools with offline activities. Not only do these activities raise awareness on topics around disability and accessibility, it can also initiate internal change processes towards more inclusiveness and diversity.

Each event can be accompanied by an introductory presentation, support and wrap-up.

Breakfast with Santa provides children who are medically fragile the opportunity to see Santa and Mrs. Claus in an environment that is inclusive of their special healthcare needs. All children who attend Breakfast with Santa receive 3-4 gifts, which are donated. They need to be wrapped, and we need volunteers to assist with the wrapping.

We also need volunteers to assist with setting up for the event on the 18th. We will be setting up tables and decorations.

Each week, we lovingly assemble 50 Lunch Bags

STEP 2: Purchase Ingredients for 50 Lunch Bags: Volunteers buy the ingredients needed for the meals (e.g., sandwiches, cookies, fruits, etc.). Volunteers purchase the ingredients and pack the meals as a self-hosted event, contributing both time and donations to support our local outreach efforts for community's unsheltered youth.

Small Bag of Chips

STEP 3: Pack the Meals: Host a self-organized event where you prepare and pack the meals. Take photos so that we can share.
Important: Please wear gloves and a mask while handling all food items.

STEP 4: Drop Off at Amrita-Seattle Office: Once packed, drop off the meals at the designated Amrita-Seattle office.
