Volunteer Horse Conditioning, Riding SchedulePlease join us in becoming a Volunteer or returning as a Volunteer! Whether you are an enthusiast with many years of horse experience, or this is your first time working with horses, your time with us is invaluable and appreciated!
As important as our horses are to the programs at WCR, just as important are the Horse Leaders! The horse leaders at WCR lead the horse and/or assist the client in controlling the horse during a lesson. The Horse Leader is focused on the horse to ensure the safety of the client, and helps maintain the horse's pace, calmness, and focus. This role is perfect for those that are familiar with horses, or who are interested in learning how to work with horses. Horse Leaders must attend an orientation and “Taking the Lead” training.
Volunteer training for this role is to ensure that everyone working with our horses and clients consistently use proper techniques. This attention to quality and consistency allows us to run safe programs and maintain the high standards we strive for as a PATH Intl. Center member.
We will spend time brushing, grooming, picking feet, and taking the horses for a walk to get back into “program mode”.

Village Eulogia for Families with Special Needs (VE) is seeking new members for our board of directors. We are a faith-based charity engaging and supporting families raising a child or young adult with a disability. We are recruiting members to fill 3 positions at the upcoming election of our board of directors.Do you have a passion to help others?
Do you believe that blessings can be found, even in the challenge of living with disability?
Are you a team player?
Depending on your role, your commitment to our board would involve 5 to 7 hours per month. Our elections are held yearly, but we are seeking individuals willing to commit to at least 2 years on our board. Experience in any of the following would be an asset, but not a requirement: business administration, fundraising, marketing and branding.
We have been serving families for over 11 years. We want to build upon the work we do. We also want to provide an opportunity for our current board members and volunteers to change roles from the tasks they have been assuming. Although prior board experience would be useful, our priority is finding people who share our passion and want to work as a team with us.

Village Eulogia for Families with Special Needs (VE) is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our volunteer executive team. VE is a faith-based charity engaging and supporting families raising a child or young adult with disabilities. Our passion is to help others, and we were led to create this charity to build a “village” of volunteers and families dedicated to finding the blessings in a life with disability.Being an executive team member offers you the chance to:
• Enrich the lives of people with disabilities and their families
• Engage with a great group of volunteers and families
• Showcase your skills and expertise
• Enhance your resume with volunteer roles
• Be an ambassador to a great cause
We are looking for fellow Christians who believe in the power of Faith to bring strength and healing to the families on this challenging path of disability. Greater hands will allow us to build and grow the activities of the charity. Our executive team runs the events and activities of the charity with the support of two part-time staff, our board of directors and our general volunteer pool.
Your involvement in our executive team would mean a commitment of 8 to 12 hours per month depending on the role you are interested in. We are seeking people who have a special talent to offer such as business, marketing, fundraising, or accounting. However, the most important factor is that you are a team player and have a strong desire to improve the lives of those with a disability.
Please contact Lynne Leyland, lleyland@villageeulogia.com for more information or to apply. If you want to know more about our charity, visit www.villageeulogia.com
