Opportunity Details

KCCDD serves adults who have developmental disabilities, and each year, our auction is the largest fundraiser that helps us fulfill our mission. Our annual auction takes attendees to a different, fun destination each year. We've been to the Wild, Wild West, Hollywood, Treasure Island, Mexico, and other places. This year, we're taking a trip back in time to when everyone had Saturday Night Fever and a pair of bell bottoms...back to the '70s!

Each year, funds generated are designated towards a specific project. This year's funds will be used to purchase an additional lift vehicle to enable the individuals we serve to become more involved and integrated into the community. What they may have only dreamed of before could become a reality - participating in classes at our community college, attending local art classes, more volunteering and working opportunities, and more. Purchasing another vehicle solely dedicated for community involvement is something we've been excited about for some time, and we can't wait to reach our goal!

Join us on World PH Day at North Point Park in Cambridge on Saturday, April 14 to support the Pulmonary Hypertension Association's Boston O2breathe Walk!

The Pulmonary Hypertension Association seeks to extend and improve the lives of those affected by pulmonary hypertension (PH) -- a rare disease with no cure that is often misdiagnosed and can lead to right heart failure. The Boston O2breathe Walk is an opportunity for the PH community and supporters in the area to join together and "PHight" back against the disease.

Kohl's volunteers will assist in registration, donation collection, T-Shirt distribution, general event set-up, water stations, and event take-down (folding chairs, tables, removing banners, etc.).

Volunteer start time: 8:00 AM
Volunteer end time: 11:00 AM
