Immigrant and refugee youth are resilient and have the capacity to face a multitude of challenges while also achieving their dreams. We host an array of programs that build on this resilience, taking a thoughtful approach to the needs, strengths and aspirations of these resilient youth.

Many of our former youth participants have gone from challenging circumstances to graduating from college, beginning rewarding careers and contributing to their communities as leaders and role-models. To support coming generations, AYCO continues to develop enduring partnerships and strong programs that are inspired by the resilient youth we work alongside.

On Thursday, November 5, 2015 Grant A Gift Autism Foundation will hold its 6th Annual Fashion for Autism Gala at the Aria Hotel and Crystals. Over the past years, Fashion for Autism has grown into a wonderful event filled with great FUNDRAISING, FASHION and lots of FUN.

Proceeds from this event will help supply center diagnostic services, treatment and other support services which include social skills groups, teen transition work programs, speech therapy, sibling support workshops and local operations in Southern Nevada to effectively serve our families living with autism spectrum disorder. It will also help to provide sponsorships to children who are in need of services, and change a life forever!

Location: ARIA Convention Center
Date: Thursday, November 5th, 2015
Volunteer shifts: 3:30pm - 9:30pm

Volunteer areas to include, but are not limited to:

Guest Greeters, Registration Check-in/out, Silent Auction Set-Up & Support, Ballroom Ushers, etc.

There will also be a short, required pre-gala meeting that will take place on Monday, November 2nd, with two possible times in order to accommodate different schedules. This will just be a quick overview of the who,what,when,where, and why aspects of the event itself.

A companion is literally "someone who breaks bread with another." Cafe Companions come into the Cafe space to listen, to share a meal, to be a friend inside the Cafe to members who come here for recovery support. Many members are either homeless or at risk of homelessness, many have mental health issues, nearly all have some addiction for which they are seeking recovery. The time you spend, and the respect you show them, provides needed support. Training is provided.
