Opportunity Details

This event is a fundraiser for Marion Therapeutic Riding Association that is designed to raise awareness for our programming through inviting the community in for a holiday shopping extravaganza that will support small businesses and local vendors in our community at the same time. All vendor fees directly benefit our equine assisted programming allowing MTRA the opportunity to provide scholarships and services to individuals in our program and also potentially reduce our waiting list. We will have nearly 50 vendors along with a games and activities station for children to play, a vintage car show, and a photo opportunity area decorated with holiday theme. We have volunteers stationed in the vendor area, registration, vintage car area, parking, games & activities, photo areas, and assisting with set-up and tear-down that can help support this event and help it to run smoothly.

Join us for the City of Surprise Day of Service on Saturday, October 19th. Benevilla is a local human services nonprofit organization based in Surprise and is partnering with the City of Surprise for this important event! We will be having a campus wide clean up event for our main campus located off of Greasewood Ave. in Surprise. Bring your work gloves and join us for a few hours helping to beautify our campus and the City of Surprise. Weeds need to be pulled, bushes trimmed and some leveling of dirt. Trash pick up and bag all for removal. We have an amazing campus, but our entrance needs some TLC. Weeds are blocking the line of sight pulling out on the street from parking lot, which is becoming a safety hazard.

Please bring work gloves and we will need extra hoes, rakes and shovels if you have any.

Thanks and we appreciate your support!

Candlelighters Fun Walk is our largest family fundraiser of our event year. Families of children with cancer come together in honor of their child to raise funds to pay it forward to families who find themselves along similar journeys. The event hosts more than 500 people and raises more than $200,000 for Candlelighters, a local Houston non-profit that provides every day support to children with cancer.
100% of profits raised through the Fun Walk will be used to directly impact the lives of children with cancer and their families specifically by sending approximately 50 families to our family camp (Camp CLIFF) in the fall. Thank you for being a part of this mission!
