Best Buddies WI is hosting our annual All-Chapter Dance on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at The Ridge Community Church (4500 S 108th St, Greenfield, WI 53228). This year we are expecting over 300 people in attendance.Attendees will dance the night away with their Best Buddies while enjoying a red-carpet entrance, fantastic music, a photo booth to help capture the memories, and delicious snacks throughout the evening. We’ll also have a game room and sensory-friendly area for those looking for a quiet space during our inclusive party.
This event is a large undertaking and requires significant volunteer support. We have multiple ways you can help at the event!
We have four shifts available:

HTV AMBUCS is looking for Board Members to help us as we enter our 2nd decade. Need help to plan and manage our 10th year celebration, plan fundraisers to provide Amtrykes to our waiting riders, and raise funds for Scholarships for Students in Therapy Professions.
Opportunity Details
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices allow individuals who have difficulty using speech to share their needs and wants, and participate in making decisions which will affect their life. The AAC Support Volunteer will assist nonverbal or partially verbal individuals with customization of communication systems, ranging from non-tech to high-tech systems to help children and adults with disabilities maximize their communication capabilities – promoting independence and confidence in communicating with others.Volunteers may:
● Design and implement customized changes to the communication system
● Identify and report functional or content issues
● Attend occasional clinical appointments in order to collect feedback
Volunteers will gain experience with programming speech generating devices and developing non-technical communication boards for specific individuals with communication needs. Volunteers will also gain experience in project management and support individuals using AAC to achieve community inclusion through successful communication methods. Individuals interested in speech-language pathology, or in working with individuals with disabilities will gain valuable experience and familiarity with AAC devices.
Volunteers must:
● Attend a volunteer orientation
● Successfully complete a background check
● Possess basic computer skills
● Be a self-starter and detail oriented
● Possess good communication skills

Epilepsy Florida (EFL) is dedicated to supporting those impacted by epilepsy by confronting the spectrum of challenges created by seizures.Epilepsy creates a set of challenges that is unique to every individual, and the fight to overcome these challenges never truly ends. Through our medical and social services, we are able to notably improve the quality of life for those enrolled in our programs.
EFL is proud to have dedicated partners who value the important work we do to improve the lives of Floridians living with epilepsy. EFL in Gainesville will be hosting our annual Walk the Talk Event on April 27th and we expect more than 250 people to attend this walk, including media.
