Hospice Volunteers perform many important duties. Whether providing companionship to a patient, bereavement support, administrative/office work or Veteran to Veteran - volunteers play a vital role that enables ProMedica Hospice to meet the needs of our patients, their families and the community.

Our volunteers are essential to providing the level of care and support that patients and their families expect from hospice care helping to make ProMedica Hospice one of the leading hospice providers in the region.

Volunteers lend an ear to the patient when they express themselves. Oftentimes their presence alone brings comfort and support. Hospice volunteers also enjoy spending time with the patient, and participating in some of their favorite pastimes, like playing chess, cards, or watching TV.

Whether you volunteer in one of our local offices or provide companionship to our patients, you'll be part of a valuable team that helps families navigate a difficult time. Our Davenport and Moline offices service a wide area including the following counties: Rock Island (IL), Mercer (IL), Henry (IL), Whiteside (IL), Knox (IL), Scott (IA), Muscatine (IA), Johnson (IA), Jackson (IA), Cedar (IA), Clinton (IA), Jones (IA). We are also looking for pet therapy owners who can share their pets with our patients.

For more information about our volunteer opportunities, please contact ProMedica Hospice at (563) 359-9092 or email at scott.southward@promedica.org.
