Open Doors for Multicultural Families (ODMF) offers unique volunteer opportunities to motivated individuals who want to make a difference in their communities.The Get Up and Move program is designed to provide youth with disabilities with a safe environment to learn social-emotional skills and make life-long friendships. We are looking for volunteers who want to engage our youth, facilitate conversations, and have fun! If that sounds like you, then we want to hear from you!

Special Olympics is looking for volunteers to help at their 2019 Holiday Sports Classic Bowling Competition! Volunteers will be assigned to help teams on each lane, help with running results to score recorders, or helping to keep track of athletes individual game scores. No prior experience necessary. USAA Bingo EventsVolunteer with the Unicorn Centers' Day Activity Program for an afternoon of Bingo. Volunteers are needed to call Bingo and assist customers in checking their bingo cards. Have fun helping the Unicorn customers recognize their letters and numbers.

Opportunity Details
Volunteers are asked to park in the temporary lot across the street on Hamilton Wolfe, or in the Health Careers High School lot next door, to allow for guests to park in our main parking lot.The Club Unicorn Dance is an opportunity for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to socialize in a fun, safe, club-like environment. Volunteers help with setting-up, food preparation, decorating, helping with activities, involving people in the fun on the dance floor, announcing door prizes, and clean up.

Opportunity Details
Volunteers are needed to help serve breakfast for our annual Signing Santa event. On December 7, 2019 DCRC will feed breakfast to approximately 225 moms, dads, grandparents, and their deaf or hard of hearing kids who want to tell Santa their Christmas gift wish in sign language. Every child in attendance will also receive a gift from "Santa" through donations made by friends of DCRC. Volunteers who are able to stay and help clean up are welcomed.Available Shifts

Dining in the Dark is a unique dining experience that gives guests a glimpse into a world of total darkness. This event allows gives the opportunity to experience walking and eating in the dark that simulates the challenges that blind and visually impaired individuals face daily. The event features a cocktail hour, seating in the dark by members of the Ocala/Marion County SWAT team, dinner (with a super-secret menu), and opportunities to donate to the work of the Florida Center for the Blind. The money raised from this event gives those with visual impairments hope and support as they strive to enjoy independent and fulfilling lives.Available Shifts
