We are looking for volunteers to join us for Trivia Night. This is our 10th annual Trivia Night and our biggest fundraiser of each year. We anticipant 350+ attendees and a very fun evening! The proceeds to into our general fund and assist in keeping our services affordable for all individuals we serve.A little about us... Since 1987, Pathways to Independence has been helping adults whose social skills are impacted by complex learning disabilities and some forms of autism. Our innovative programming supports individuals as they discover new levels of confidence while connecting with friends and their communities. We help them set goals and challenge them to reach for their full potential. We're dedicated to giving our participants the tools they need to create fulfilling relationships, advocate for themselves, and succeed in the world independently.
Pathways to Independence biggest accomplishments of 2018:
* Our organization supported 210 individuals
* Pathways provided 8,947 hours of support
* We offered 420 social events for our participants
Our participants reported the following with regard to their involvement in Pathways:
* 83% have experienced progress toward their goals
* 98% are satisfied with Pathways programming and coaching
* 100% feel better about themselves
We are a small organization with a BIG mission. Volunteers are important to help us reach our goals and very much appreciated.

We are currently in preparation for our annual Autism Walk & Family Fun Day which will take place on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM inside the Orange County Convention Center's North Concourse. We are looking for volunteers to assist us on the following:Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM - Event Day. The volunteer responsibilities will include working one of the areas identified above and assisting with the running of the event. This could include working concession stand, selling food tickets, working game area, overseeing photo booth area, assisting with shirt distribution, etc.

No matter what your ability is, our volunteers are OUR heroes! This 5K will "pack a punch" in fun and we would love you to join in. We welcome everyone of all abilities to join forces and see what you can do.No job is too small at our event and no volunteer is left behind. Every job is necessary and needs someone like you to make it happen!
Once we have our list of volunteers, we will send out a task assignment sheet so you may find something at the event you'd like to do. Emails will go out the week of September 1st.

Join us at Triumph's 8th Annual Wheelchair Sports Festival on April 27 & 28, 2018 in Santa Clarita, CA. The event is open for the whole community to participate, and it's FREE! The festival brings everyone together of all abilities - able body and disabled alike - to take part in a weekend of games and activities.Some events include wheelchair hockey, basketball, quad rugby, racquetball, SCUBA, handcycling, powerchair rodeo, WCMX, baseball, and more. Volunteers will be assisting participants in these activities and helping to ensure their stations run smoothly.
Our goal is to introduce wheelchair sports to more people, increase inclusiveness and awareness of people living with disabilities in the community, and having FUN!
The Wheelchair Sports Festival is part of the Paralympic Gateway to Gold initiative that is a talent identification program introducing Paralympic-eligible athletes to sports, acting as a pipeline to competition, and is often the first step toward the podium representing U.S. Paralympic Team.
Triumph Foundation hosts this free event to introduce wheelchair sports to people that are newly injured, Veterans, children, and others with disabilities; as well as provide learning opportunities to the general public and showcase people living with physical impairment in a way that members of the community do not often see.

VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE MEETINGS:
There will be a series of meetings to discuss the event details, volunteer assignments and expectations, as well as other pertinent information. These meetings will take place on weeknights near the venue. All volunteers will be emailed meeting dates and times with ample notice and are asked to attend as many as they can.
