One Step Beyond, Inc., a Valley based nonprofit that empowers adults who have intellectual disabilities through responsive and dynamic programs, is celebrating their fifteenth year of service, "Here's to Fifteen Years" on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at The Crescent Ballroom in Downtown Phoenix. Supported by Sam Ash Music Stores, the Arizona Coyotes, Orange Amplifiers, Special Olympics Arizona, MidFirst Bank, and Manuel's Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, this event aims to promote inclusivity by bridging the accomplishments and abilities of the One Step Beyond participants with the Arizona community.

The all-day family friendly event will feature an assortment of lawn games, face painting, Arizona Coyote inflatables, an art walk displaying ceramics created by OSBI participants, and live music from an array of local musicians and bands including: The HeartStrings Band, King Margo, Lost in the Sun, Jerusafunk, and Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra. Other entertainment includes a showstopping performance by the One Step Beyond Dance Crew, a dance party with a guest DJ, and a mesmerizing display of aerial artistry and fire dancing by Circus Farm performers. Shoppers can make bids on items from the Silent Auction and could even walk away with four tickets to the 2018 CheezIt Bowl, courtesy of Fiesta Bowl Charities.

In order to ensure that this is a successful day, where our employees and program participants can be included in the days festivities, we are searching for event volunteers to work in the following areas: Will Call, Lawn Games, Silent/Live Auction, Art Walk, On Site Registration, Raffle Sales, Apparel and Art Sales, Assisting with the Arizona Coyotes and Special Olympics of Arizona inflatables, and directing event attendees to the restroom.

The day is broken into three shifts: 10AM-12PM (Event set-up), 12PM-3PM, and 3PM-6PM. Upon completion of a three-hour shift, volunteers have access into the event at no cost.
