Opportunity Details

Come serve with the Unicorn Center’s Day Activity and Job & Life Skills Programs, while helping with board games, arts & crafts, bingo and other fun activities. During these fun activities our people continue to develop and practice lessons learned: everything from counting to social skills.

The Unicorn Center’s programs provide our customers an active, vibrant day program. Our team works closely with our customers, adults with IDD ( Intellectual Developmental Disabilities), to be included in a community-based environment where we help them learn, improve and retain the life skills that are necessary to live and participate successfully in the workplace, home and community life.

Volunteers must be 21 years of age.

A local Missoula Adult Special Olympics Team will be hosting a Dessert bar and Silent Auction to raise funds to help them afford the costs of traveling to Statewide competitions in Great Falls and Butte in 2020. They are a new team and unfortunately could not afford the cost of travel last year so they are working on getting enough funds to attend this year.

Opportunity Details

During a group stay with the MS Society, people with MS in need of care experience varied moments and receive new impulses for their everyday life.

As a volunteer you will look after a group of max. 12 MS affected guests together with a maximum of 20 colleagues for 8 to 14 days. Two qualified nursing staff will lead the stay and accompany you in this demanding work. You will be optimally introduced to your tasks by the leaders. Therefore, nursing knowledge is not necessary. However, they are an advantage.

With your commitment you will make new friends, expand your skills, experience a lot of gratitude and make light-hearted moments possible.
